The west coast owned the 90's. It was the only time the west coast ever controlled hip hop. Bad Boy didn't become a force until 2pac started dissing them in 1996. Wu Tang was cool but they weren't moving units like that. Warren G was even outselling them (I find that to be hilarious). Being from the west, I believe the east coast had better rhymesayers (I'm the biggest BCC fan ever) but the west was way more dominant. So dominant that there are bloods and crips in the NYC.
