  • Thanks discdolo

  • anybody know the original song starts at 3:48?

sounds kinda familiar, who's singin the original

  • What album is this on?

  • Pure PR FLAVA

  • I havent listened to this for roughly 12 years or so. I am listening to it now. Definitely Beatnuts produced this. Kurious's flow and rapping is just dancing on the beat the Beatnuts produced.

  • Luv that Uptonwn Hit!!

  • LOL, Wow, them days, I used to wish I was Puerto Rican so I could hang out in the Bronx with the Puerto Rocs and especially the Puerto Rican chics!!! (...instead of being in L.I., lol)

  • I never get tired of this song, love the bass line!

  • dope.

  • Great!!! Good video!!!!!THANX!!!

  • I love the quality... fuck this east vs west shit that I've reading in the below comments. Just ackowledge that was a good ass track after all these years.

  • so where can i scoop some other shit like this up? holla back

  • You don't know shit about hip hop then. For you to say it's not hip hop because it sales means you are probably some dumb ass loser that never made it as a DJ. I've made records in a studio. Ask Ced Singleton who he bought beats from for X-Raided's Unforgiven Vol. 1. Your argument about who is better is subjective, not objective. It isn't like I said Vanilla Ice or Marky Mark is better than Kurious. I said the west had shit on lock. Kurupt, Cube, Snoop, Pac, Quik, Eiht, Short, Spice 1 back me up

  • The west coast owned the 90's. It was the only time the west coast ever controlled hip hop. Bad Boy didn't become a force until 2pac started dissing them in 1996. Wu Tang was cool but they weren't moving units like that. Warren G was even outselling them (I find that to be hilarious). Being from the west, I believe the east coast had better rhymesayers (I'm the biggest BCC fan ever) but the west was way more dominant. So dominant that there are bloods and crips in the NYC.

  • @rms2g herb, first off u got to quit confusing media gangs with hip hop music. second u need to get off this record sale dang...hip hop is for the underground, and is all skills styles and originality. thats the flavor. get the fuck off this pop music and news media angle on it. go write a wall, flow downtown, hit a windmill then come back and try to drop jewel

  • @padrepulpo

Herb? Who uses that word? The west coast had the better records. Period. They influenced a whole generation and changed what was underground and made it popular. That's why they sold more. Your argument is flawed. What do you base your argument on? If people like the music, you can't argue against it. That's like saying Dominique is better than Jordan. My argument is based on facts, not feelings as yours are.

  • @rms2g I use that word. Your argument is based on record sales. Its this psychopathological obsession with science and homogeny that saps creativity and innovation today. Youre fuck right my argument is based on feeling. This is music, chump, it's ALL ABOUT FEELING...you can't CUT A QUALITY RECORD ONLY WITH A "SOUND UNDERSTANDING" OF SOCIOLOGICAL STATISTICS. You are arguing with me from the viewpoint of somebody who DOESNT KNOW WHAT HIP HOP IS..you never rocked in a cypher. get out tool

  • @rms2g by the way, if you knew shit, you would know the east vs west bullshit is a pop music trend, not a hip hop trend. biggie and pac accepted the rivalry when they became pop artists as a means of letting the news media hype their shit. it has nothing to do with the music. it has to do with gossip and girl talk. fuck that it's all rotten piss. go drink your own i'ma stay true to the art

  • @padrepulpo

You know shit about hip hop. It is all hip hop you stupid fuck. The only person that says it isn't real hip hop is a bitter loser in hip hop that never made a hit. I was in the studio for years listing to it while you scratch it as an obvious unpopular smuck ass DJ. I've rocked plenty of cyphers. I've produced records. Ask X-Raided who Ced Singleton bought a couple of beats from for the Unforgiven Vol. 1. It's all hip hop.

  • @rms2g you know you lose an argument when yours stands on defamation. 1) you name dropped a pretty shallow list of west coast talent, not to mention most are pop artists and a couple ain't even that dope. 2) let's get back to my original argument, "you stupid fuck", which is to hop off the media dick cashing in on art by sensationalizing tha "east vs west" rivalry. congrats to you if you feel tite playing it up, it's all fronting and has nothing to do with the art. You're welcome

  • @padrepulpo That's your uninformed opinion. Pop artists? Ice Cube? DJ Quik? Short? Kurupt? Spice 1? Pop? What are you smoking? Hammer, Nelly, Florida are pop artists, these guys are legends. GTFOH with that. Kurious had two hits, so let's be real here. The guys I mentioned had careers, not one hot 12" like the NY rappers in the 90's that you claim to be "real hip hop". So I guess Nas, Jay-Z, DMX & Eminem are popstars just because they made it too huh? There's no point in debating with a fool.

  • @padrepulpo haha that nigga is not worth even arguing... i got respect for the west but lets be honest the main group they had was deathrow putting all there work from the early 90's and thats it... but then again fool talking bout sales hahaha.... i would like to see who's lyrical capability is better.... big l would knock most of them out alone.... lol deathrow was a industry main stream ass homo label same goes for badboy... at the end ny rap is still classic

  • How the fuck did they get a Slow Loris?

  • PLUS WEST COAST RAPPERS GOT WAY BETTER WEED SO WE I MEAN THEY DONT GET A STUPID RETARED STESS HIGH THAT JUST MAKES YOU DUMBER

  • @69blezy69 go stuff your pacifier blunt up you god damn tool

  • EAST COAST AND WEST COAST HIP HOP ARE COMPLETLY DIFFERENT EAST COAST RAPPERS LIKE METAPHORS AND BIG WORDS WEST COAST RAPPERS LIKE HAVING SEX AND GETTING LAID

  • Lol, I had that PERVERT hockey shirt that girl puffing the blunt was wearing. This album is the 90's best kept secret.

  • def one of the most underated tracks i've ever heard, but good! no skinny jean wearin dickriders spammin the comments!

  • Damn this is one of the best hip hop albums of all time. Shout out to Kurious and The Beatnuts!

  • Dang this beat is badder than a mutha! This track is timeless!!

  • the track is official!!! beatnuts all day!!!

  • Do someone know the sample used for this song, thank you,

  • @ulkiora123 Roy Ayers Mystic Voyage

  • who are the "ravers"????

  • 1:29 lol

  • This video was filmed at my old HS George Washington HS. The school was a hang out every thing you see in this video went down for real. Memories!

  • just noticed roc raida in the back of the video!! R.I.P.

  • @turntabletimmy Raida!!

  • Yeah the new kids nowadays have nothing on the GOLDEN ERA 85-95. They will never ever ever ever be on the same level. All they do is talk about and use same old ingredients in there raps which include (Watches, Lambos, Wheels, & Planes). Jerk Offs and the people that sign them are Jerk Offs too!

  • @QuiKNiK80 na that was the early 2000s, today its about partying, drunk, fast electro music, and girls, in todays hip hop in the industry. some do talk about cars and stuff though.

  • Kurious is underrated. He should've been given more props.

  • Classic!

  • Kurious never got his props but he was dope, I played this tape until it broke lol. His rhyme skills was on point. Think the year was 1994 a lot of good hiphop music back than from East, West, Midwest, and South. If u were a hiphop head u had music from all regions, for the record I grew up in the east.

  • dope tip

    gotta keep it em kurious

  • what does he has in his mouth in 3:16 ?

  • This era of Hip Hop was and still remains very special. It's unfortunate that we will never get to experience it again. Shouts to my old heads who understand the feeling.

  • yo fellas!! Hat V-mann/Hiob das auf Fragmente gesamplet?

  • @QUISO500 Actually the west coast did, but the east will always rule hip hop.

  • @QUISO500 Eastcoast always ruled! all that "gangsta rap" ain't real hip hop.

  • @QUISO500 I guess Deathrow and the millions they sold mean nothing. The Westside Connection too huh? GTFOH.
