To care about the estimated 6.7 billion people, to bring their burdens into your life, would drive anybody insane. The shutting out and ignoring of the plight of those not directly in contact with you is so you yourself can live. To try and help all of them is idiotic.
To not help any of them, however, is worse. If recitations like this inspire people to help, their actions may in turn inspire more. Helping and caring for other people results in an exponential growth of action.

If they are then I don't agree. A broken heart, maybe it's someone they thought they were going to be with forever and now they're torn apart. Not high enough grades? Their dream goal in life may have needed those high grades.
