@yabodmon My buddy was on his 2005 Yamaha RX-1, ( 1000 CC motor ) I was on my MAch Z 1000. We were on a rolling start, about 50-60 mph, and I " WOLF-STAKED " him on a big lake. He was so far behind, I thought he stopped racing. A good-running MACH Z 1000, will kill just about anything on a long " lake run ". The RX 1 did get better gas mileage, and it probably is more dependable.
Just constructive criticism but you should be revving at 82-8300 rpm so you are losing big power. Clutch and gear that thing proper and hang on if you think it's fast now!
What does km/h have to do with it? It should be revving at 82 to 8300 rpm for max power and not the 75 to 7600 rpm it is revving at now. He's losing big power. And over-revving past the peak power band is just as wasteful as under-revving ... this engine is designed to make peak power at a specific rpm.
Properly clutched this sled will hit 8300 rpm as soon as you hammer it and hold right there all the way to top end.
@luvmyctd While I agree with you that over revving/under revving and engine beyond or under its peak impacts horsepower delivery, the 1000 SDI's don't make peak power at 8,200-8,300RPM. That was the old 809 triple cylinder, triple piped Mach Z. The 1000 SDI's make best power between about 7,500-7,800RPM depending on conditions.
@Gearbanger101 My bad, I just assumed it was an 800 triple/triple. I owned and raced one so I know what it needs to rev at ... but no idea on the 1000.

The speedometer tells you how fast the belt is going, so when you see him go from 0-100 km/h in one second, its because the belt is spinning and he's probably not up in that speed yet.
FAILURE!!!! the speedometer is linked to the CRANKSHAFT> meaning it tells how fast the track is turning and it accuratly turns it into MPH or KMH second of all if the belt was slipping you engine would be hurting! because if one second there is a load on the engine it will be say at 5000rpm, and then if the belt slips the RPM's will go up to say 9000, OVERREVVING! HURTING THE ENGINE!
and i would like to see how you would get a sensor into a belt sheave to measure the speed of the belt....
that sled is eithor modified or you have studs up the fuckin ass on that thing my budy has a mach z 1000 and i have nevor seen that thing pickup the skis like this one does
is the speedometer in kilometers or miles?
