  • i dint like the altimate hellsing as mutch as the original :) In the name of God impure souls of the living dead shall be banished into eternal damnation Amen. any way i like gundam aswell

  • genialne!

  • This and Wasteland Nostalgia are amazingly good songs for an OST

  • No doubt, this is my favorite from the soundtrack. This anime is one of the best I've seen in a long time.

  • Nice song. =]

  • My fav song from ergo proxy....sick anime!

    Ty for posting this

  • I loved that anime too! But if you want to see a sick anime, I reccomend Mnemosyne. (I warn you, there's nudity.)

  • @Naessly pshhh Mnemosyne. Not sick in the slightest.

  • @chairmobile

Well, your opinion XD I personally thought it was a bit gore (Well apparently I did o_o Can't even remember that anime XD)

  • @chairmobile

Ah, well I just checked your profile, no wonder you don't think it's sick XD You like gore stuff eh? :P Cool with me. I love blood, yet I I'm having a hard time with gore animes xD

  • @Naessly check genocyber or hellsing ultimate if you want something that's actually gory. Shit like Elfen Lied seems to be what people think is "gory" these days.

  • @chairmobile

That,s simply because some people are more sensitive than others XD I'm sensitive, and to me elfen lied is kinda gore. Not too intense but it is a bit gore. If you think it's not gore, good for you, but I don't think elfen lied is ''shit'' and that's just my opinion.

  • @Naessly Coooooool. And your point is? Hitler thought that those without the characteristics of the "optimal" human being - which are empirically proven to be genetically defective - were inferior. Oh, but that was his opinion, and is therefore totally valid.

Also, I was using "shit" not as descriptive, but as inclusive. As in, "he left his shit lying around," or "this is good shit" - not referring directly to feces, or the quality of the show, but as in 'stuff'.

  • @chairmobile

...hum...I wasn't really trying to get into a fight or something xD All your big talk, it's not for me really. Let's just enjoy that song, right? And yea, now I understand, I thought you meant it was shitty, ya know. No need to get all pissed at me my dear, I understand your comment better now so let's leave hitler out of this, right?

No need to be rude now =/

  • @Naessly I was reading this convo again (somebody else responded). I just wanted to apologize; I was really a dick for no good reason and you didn't deserve it.

  • @chairmobile

Daww, it's really sweet from you to apologize!

Thanks, no harm was done :)

  • @chairmobile not trying to start an argument but are you saying elfen lied is not a good series. if so, i greatly disagree. furthermore i have read and watched hellsing and elfen lied. they are both pretty gory. elfen lied manga goes into more gore than the anime though.

  • @MEGAS8591 It's good in some aspects, bad in some aspects, meh in gore. Did you watch Hellsing Ultimate, or just plain Hellsing? Elfen Lied is about as gory as hellsing, much less gory than Ultimate.

  • @chairmobile sorry for multiple responses. but just as you said elfen lied is good in some aspects and bad in others. i think its the same for hellsing. but it really just depends on the type of person you are. and im curious...did you like elfen lied?

i really liked it, as i did with hellsing.

thank you for having this be a rather intelligent conversation rather than just arguing with eachother yelling which is better and insulting eachother

  • @MEGAS8591 Yeah, character limit sucks. I think that, given its genre, Ultimate doesn't have big flaws. Elfen Lied, as a gore/drama, has major limitations (ie, storylines that aren't tied up). Which, of course, could be an intentional swipe at the cut-and-dried nature of media in general, but prooobably not. I liked Elfen Lied - the voice acting is good, the story was interesting. It just had some issues, and I think it failed in a few ways is all. It's still infinitely better than, say, K-on.

  • @chairmobile fair enough. i agree that elfen lied has some limitations but not enough to make it bad. ultimate has limitations as well. but we dont have to debate them. at least we agree that both series are dam good and worth watching. but i will say hellsing is both great for and is put to shame for. Twilight, hellsing (alucard especially) puts the vampires from twilight in their place as disgrace's to the name vampire. but hellsing is also unfortunately damaged by having twilight exist.

  • @MEGAS8591 Not really sure why Twilight really impacts Hellsing, but ok.

  • @chairmobile hellsing deals largely with vampires,

the image of a vampire has reached disgraceful levels due to twilight. unfortunately, it got to the point where it damages hellsing. (if you try to explain it to someone who has no clue about it the impression they will get will be horribly, horribly wrong.

and i mostly brought it up to find common ground.

P.S. deadman wonderland is fairly "gorey" as well, if your looking for something to read, i reccomend it. its an anime now too.

  • @MEGAS8591 Yeah, I've read DW. WAY to melodramatic and childish for me, sorry. The gore wasn't great either.

  • @MEGAS8591 i watched both. (did you read elfen lied manga?)

...hmmm...thinking about it. i think that elfen lied's gore comes off as better, because all the gore is shown as horrific, tragic (for the most part), and desturbing. Hellsing shows more gore (ok i did not do research on that but lets just say it has more...) all, if not most, of the gore is shown as no big deal, everyone seems to barely notice the gore and just move on like its nothing. (this is all my opinion ok.)

  • @MEGAS8591 I read a bit of the manga. It was gorier than the anime, true. In context, it's appropriate to say that Elfen Lied is more "horrifying", I see your point. It's the same as saying that "Saw" is gorier than "Saving Private Ryan" - the context of war leads to desensitization in and of itself. So, in a contextual framework, you're correct. In a vacuum (which is what I'm talking about) Hellsing is undeniably gorier.
