Paul is making an error in logic when he assumes that the mistake to go to war in Iraq is the same as a mistake to stay in Iraq or the Middle East. I agree with a lot of what Paul says but like many in American political life he has become, and allowed himself to become, defined in generalities and partisanship. If we are going to sort this conflict of cultures out we all need the political flexibility to thing soundly and not in a partisan sense.
Paul is correct in stating why the US was attacked but he is wrong in believing that the US and coalition forces should withdraw from the Middle East region. To leave Iraq now would be to leave a void in power that the current Iraqi government cannot fill. I believe that the various forces of the insurgency would make the current conflict look like a children's daycare squabble.

really, if you look up on the facts, our government lied about 911. The trading center was designed in a way that it could take multiple hits from arplanes and not fall. Also, jet fule dosen't burn hot enough to melt steal, there were 14 steal beam that helped support both buildings. what happened to them? They completly melted, how could that happen? Also, there were many acounts of people saying they heard a bomb go off in the basment 2 minutes before the first plane struck.
The buildings were indeed designed to withstand an aircrafts impact but that was in the 1960's when airliners were far smaller. Additionally, the impact studies in the 50's never took into consideration how burning jet fuel would affect structural steel.
The plane they considered was roughly the same size as the plane that crashed into the towers. What, you think engineers were too stupid to consider jet fuel (kerosene) way back in the sixties? Come on...we went to the moon in 1969, remember, and created nuclear weapons too. Engineers were plenty advanced then.
What about the Kurds of Iraq, Somalia and Rwanda, did those countries get along ok when the international community turned it's back? I too am supporting Obama, but I love what Ron Paul stands for. Ron Paul is a true Rebulican who is looking out for the American people...not just the "republican party". The GOP has been hijacked by neo-cons. So to me, currently, a vote for the repubs is a vote for the neo-cons. I want Ron Paul to stay in Congress and be on the floor where he has more power. Paul is making an error in logic when he assumes that the mistake to go to war in Iraq is the same as a mistake to stay in Iraq or the Middle East. I agree with a lot of what Paul says but like many in American political life he has become, and allowed himself to become, defined in generalities and partisanship. If we are going to sort this conflict of cultures out we all need the political flexibility to thing soundly and not in a partisan sense.

Paul is correct in stating why the US was attacked but he is wrong in believing that the US and coalition forces should withdraw from the Middle East region. To leave Iraq now would be to leave a void in power that the current Iraqi government cannot fill. I believe that the various forces of the insurgency would make the current conflict look like a children's daycare squabble.

really, if you look up on the facts, our government lied about 911. The trading center was designed in a way that it could take multiple hits from arplanes and not fall. Also, jet fule dosen't burn hot enough to melt steal, there were 14 steal beam that helped support both buildings. what happened to them? They completly melted, how could that happen? Also, there were many acounts of people saying they heard a bomb go off in the basment 2 minutes before the first plane struck.

The buildings were indeed designed to withstand an aircrafts impact but that was in the 1960's when airliners were far smaller. Additionally, the impact studies in the 50's never took into consideration how burning jet fuel would affect structural steel.

The planes that crashed on 9/11 were much larger than the ones used in pre-construction simulations. On average the airliners were 3 tons heavier and carried more fuel. The simulations didn't take into consideration an impact at maximum speed or the effect of the fire on unprotected (insulation) steel. The assumption that jet fuel could not melt steel is misleading. The structural members were subject to those raging fires for over 8 hours before the collapse. The columns warped due to heat and the weight of the structure above and that is what led to the collapse.

i like ron paul too however i believe there is no hope of waking up. It was only 4 years ago when Bush was REELECTED. We all knew then what we know now, he's a crook. Yet, he was still voted in. We have a long way to go.
