celine dion is one of those people who you get made fun of for listening to.. its like a joke but no matter who you are, even if you are the one dishing out the joke, can deny the power of her voice.. i heard this on the radio yesterday doing last minute christmas shpping... and i started tearing..it felt nice to be reminded of what the holiday season is about

@LuxuriousMind87 Mariah has a truly phenomenal voice, she is indeed one of the most talented singers in the history of recording...when she doesn't give in to shameless, lazy pandering. Not every song is R&B or hip-hop and not every song is enhanced by taking one note on paper and torturing it into fourteen vocally with cheap, ghetto vocal tricks. It's terribly sad and self limited that for so many Americans rap and hip-hop are the ONLY styles of music that exist or matter.

Oh Holy Night is one of those songs everyone tries to sing but it's never as amazing as the lyrics suggest it should be. As if sung by an Angel of God. But ok, that's not humanly possible, right? Enter Celine. & apparently it is. I'm hard to please, a professional songwriter & collector of Xmas Music. I don't buy Celine albums but do have at least 30 versions of "Oh Holy NIght" by artists past & present. IMHO Celine did the impossible. Her singing is equal to the song. Never say never. My bad
