Wrong. Metal owes nearly all of its heritage to blues rock and, from the NWOBHM onwards, punk. The black was to look "dark", and Pantera did stuff like that to promote their "southern" image. It's nothing to do with country.

@Mortal0121 Correction Early Metal was Blues inspired, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, and Rainbow, but alot of New Wave like Motorhead, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest has an outlaw country influnce...The Speed of the New Wave guitar style is inspired by the picking of blue grass....Thats why there are alot of Country Artist covering metal from that era, because it's so dam easy to change to country....I know Iron Man is blues, influence but Ace Of Spades even the name and lyrics are outlaw country.

@Mortal0121 I just have to laugh at how you think Punk is the heritage of Metal....Even the term Heavy Metal predates Punk Rock......The only thing you have is that Punk Rocker embraised the term Punk before Heavy Metal....the first artist to embrass Punk that I know of is the Ramones which are mid late 70s where as the first artist to embrass the term Heavy Metal, Judas Priest, came out late 70s early 80s....However Metal, and Punk them selves where born about the same time.

Elvis got his start at the Heyride Radio show(In Shreveport, LA) with Hank Williams Sr., and after a gig in Memphis he noticed the blues.

@kirezar you need a usb or firewire audio interface with jack inputs, then you need a decent programme with a guitar amp plug in. I think most people use the line 6 pod which is easy to use and sounds pretty descent.

@TheBigDumper I use a usb audio interface from m-audio which cost about £400 new. But the thing about using it is that you have to have the right software as well, I use pro tools m-powered which is about £150 and then the guitar amp plug in is around £100. I'm guessing coz you have garageband you have a mac? In which case you need logic and any usb audio interface or sound card.
