Regardless of any opinion Ringo's head shrugs are pretty much priceless! You may catch them in other songs, but I'd bet this is his most important/thoughtful song. He may dig the sweet 16 yr old, but his most true friend means the most!

There's something truly special about Ringo and George's friendship. That the bookend age groups of the band ended up becoming a very close pair, that George fought for Ringo's spot in the band when the audience was against him early on. It shows what transcends the boundaries of age and judgment, that true friendship can be found in the most unlikely places. This is just a small taste of that, and it's a great one.

Still, George's guitar and novel musicianship (any sitar you hear, a main example)--well, the Beatles would NOT have been as ground-breaking without his talent. He just melded in well...
