Regardless of any opinion Ringo's head shrugs are pretty much priceless! You may catch them in other songs, but I'd bet this is his most important/thoughtful song. He may dig the sweet 16 yr old, but his most true friend means the most!
@sqweebel1 If it was, how does that affect the quality or sound of the song? It is quite unique and sounds pure, so did they rip any artist off? Does it not sound like Ringo? Does it not sound pretty damn good? My only music background is a music minor due to history or Rock & Roll classes w/ some added simple music concepts, but I always wonder how sum1 explains excellence as sum computer BS....It's the Beatles dude, they started w/ 8-track as basis. They're Brilliant w/ Sound!
@sqweebel1 I think it's the microphone. He's using one of the older looking ones (in design) and it may be effecting how his voice comes through. I doubt it's auto-tuned, though I do see your point.
@florperachia It's actually "I Dig Love is about you". Each line that includes "... is about you" is preceded by the title of one of George's songs. I Dig Love is from the LP All Things Must Pass.
I love this song. It brings warmth to your heart. Of course it makes me miss George much more, but after listening to this song it's like a great friend has consoled you and you feel much better already.
Amazing lyrics... "Within You Without You... Here Comes the Sun is about you... You played a beautiful melody, that keeps on haunting me. And you're song will play on without you. And this world won't forgot about you. Every part of you was in your song..."
@Marie15017 George's All Those Years Ago for the John and When We Was Fab for the Beatles. Let's not forget How Do You Sleep from John to Sir Paul. :O))
Most music groups have one front man. This is more proof that the Beatles had four front men, and Ringo was the equal of any of them. He's a great showman - I've seen him several times with the All Star Band. I wish he and McCartney would record an album together, and share the vocals like the old days.
it's so sad that the world changes, and Ringo's right, it is reality. he's also right by saying that all that will last is love. but i want to expand on that by saying that all that will last is JESUS' love, for us. we can never know what's gonna happen to us, and what's going to change and what isn't. but we can always know that God will never change, and that his love for you will last...
A large reason why people don't like Ringo's songs are because they are so straightfoward. But what's wrong with that? It still comes from his heart and that's all that matters. So back off Ringo-haters!
lloro lloro como un niño que se acaba de golpear. te extraño john, te extraño george, aunque no estoy ni cerca de ser de los 60's siento que lo fui y disfruto cada melodìa, gracias por todo! - i'm crying like a little child, i miss u john i miss you george, i'm not near to be of 60's decade, i feel that i was and i enjoy every single song. thanks for everything!
George was under rated as a Beatle because he shared the stage with 2 giants...its like trying to shine a light when youre standing next to the sun...but George was the thinking man's Beatle. always had a soft spot for George. miss him
@coldcoke111, Great question! He is the the Supreme Personality of Godhead. He is in the hearts of all living beings...the second soul inhabiting all creatures. He is your best Friend, Lover, Father or Child. He is an ocean of mercy and bliss. Keep asking that question sincerely and he will reveal himself to you. Hare Krishna.
this song is better than any paul mccartney's song of this century! ringo you are the best. about a month ago i started to listen to you discography and i found about 40 good but really good songs of you, you rock!!! and what can i say about george harrison he is my favorite beatle and singer, we can always feel you by our side! George & Ringo ......
My late boyfriend introduced me to this tribute to George Harrison (who I thought was the most charming of the Beatles) and now I use this melody in the sweet memory of a wonderful person, who will always have a special place in my heart....
George was more than a Beatle. He was a very humble spiritual being and lived a compassionate existence as a vegetarian and devotee of Lord Krishna. He always chanted his rounds and went out of his way to help others find true happiness. Therefore, I too give my humble obeisances:

This brought me to tears. I grew up with The Beatles and to hear Ringo honor George like this is heart-breaking. There's something truly special about Ringo and George's friendship.
