wow is a dieing mmo it never evolves like eve online, there expansions have only contents though in eve they upgrade the graphics and soon we will see a new breed of rendering engine witch will finally pot radiocity rendering graphics in real time for games.

You know what would be cool? An online game where you form a ship crew, starting with just you, and you have to fight enemies to earn currency and stuff, then you get new ships that hold 2-128 people, and you can staff people that you have to pay (real people, in-game currency) and you're the captain of your own battleship and your staff do all of the weapons and navigation, you just give out orders.

Given the game may lead you to truely epic fleet battles involving several hundreds of players, there ARE fleet commanders, see it as raid leaders in world of warcraft if you ever played it ;)

FC are calling out for targets and dispatching tasks to the different players among their fleets. So yes in a way you can control hundreds of ships, but for the most part you play with your ship and that's it ;)

Retailers have to charge more, firstly because of all the physical costs, plus if they don't charge more they don't make a profit from it. Steam doesn't have to do that, since the game is coming straight from the programmers. This is especially true for 1st party Valve games like TF2 and Half-Life.

@OmegaVesko That's what it should be, but it sure isn't what you see on the steam store ^^ games are the same price as releases for the most part (at least in france).

First thnig first : stop thinking that digital cost nothing. Sure you don't have to transport and create the DVD, but you need servers to distribute the files ! And you need them to work continuously since you can download the game anytime you feel like it. Costs a lot :)

EVE is not the sort of game that you are able to start playing today & have a great ship straight away. It takes training time to even begin to get into better ships/mods/etc. It is slow at the beginning & depending on which way you decide to take your character it can get a lot more exciting.

ALL fights like the ones in this video are fought in 0.0 as more often than not fights of a larger size are over OutPosts or Sov or a Moon Goo POS or 4.
