Brings back such good memories!! One of the best night of my life my friends and I were all so in love with one another, the music, the gorge! the vibes... wish I could go back!!
don't hate on phil, when he's on they're all on. w/o phil the band isnt the same, just like jerry. warren is too southern for my tastes and i think he was a bad choice as a replacement
You're right, too southern, he's got too much soul and talent.....gimme a break....he's about the only one that could fill jerry's shoes, dickey betts would have worked, or Curt Kirkwood (meat puppets), but thats about it.
@rotagen5 we have to stop worrying about "filling jerry's shoes." i want a guitarist who isn't going to copy what jerry does lick for lick. a little originality. i loved warren on this tour
Warren is one of my favorite muscians. I tried to like the dead back in the 70's and was thourghly dissapointed in every show I saw them in. Saw them in SF at the Cow Palace in the late 70's - disapointing - still are - so disorganized, bass all over the place. The bright spot is Warren Haynes as was Jerry Garcia when he was with them. Garcia sounded wonderful when he played with Grisman and the others. Warren nails the Garcia spirit in and incredible way - he's one of the modern greats.
I live in Ohio,Im old DeadHead,There is a Very good Tribute Band called The JiMiller Band from Cleveland,Oh.looky them up.They are very good. You will like.<<<< the sky is yellow, the sun is blue, if you got a ticket,I got something for you..... Enjoy
Thanks for the post it really does rule!! I am a huge jerry head and I am sure he would be proud that these guys still can rock down the house without him. The dead, and grateful dead is like a vehicle and they definitely take us places. It was a blast to be a passenger.
You got great video and great audio.... thanks so much, i do believe this was the best concert i ever saw dereck trucks and warren haynes killed it all day long... fucking epic... and at the gorge too!!!!!

Haynes is good.

@Katalysator53 On both slide AND vocals! Better than Donna, although Donna wasn't terrible on Passenger.

i was at the parking lot parties and recognized most of the songs
people go to the outside to be close to the music
i remember at shoreline one girl in the meadow along listening and waiting
no one else for miles around
