I used to take lessons from Duck in the 70's, so I know how good he is, but listen to Dave Evans version, even Duck acknowledges that it's a bit lovelier.
Where can I track down John James? Do you remember staying at the Graham's house with John back in the early seventies after a gig at the Black Horse in Exeter?
John James...now there is a name I haven't heard in many years. I saw him live several times in the late 70s when he toured with Happy Traum. Very intimate coffeehouse setting, small audience so we got to sit close and inhale his technique. Fantastic player and the first one to introduce me to Lowden guitars.
I think he did a video for Homespun tapes sometime in the erarly 80s but I have no idea if it's still available.
