oh, by the way, you can get A LOT of ECP by buying SEC and MFCs, then going to a workbench and converting them. It pretty much pays for itself if you find ammo in the field, since you can convert it to MFC and sell it for a ton of caps. But you need a fairly high Science skill to do anything with ECPs, so keep that in mind.

In case you're unaware, this weapon has been patched, so it no longer uses 45 ECPs per a shot... instead it uses only 6 and can fire 4 times before reloading, while it hasn't suffered any loss of power, making it even more badass than it appears in this video.

i dont know if its just a glitch for me but it only takes 5 ammo to shoot it, and it holds 20 per reload .. so thats 4 shoots in one magazine. 5 ammo each. idk if its just me.

@SheLiedAboutAge The new patch lowered the ammo usage of some energy weapons to a far more reasonable level, so they went from almost useless to something you might actually want to use.

This weapon is pointless. Its just as hard to get as the ycs/186 except the ycs/186 weighs less (i think), uses less ammo per shot, has a scope, does more damage, and it has a quicker reload. Does this weapon have anything the ycs doesnt?

@koal1ify Tesla-Beaton has slightly higher DPS when you factor in reloading. I see your point, but this weapon is available even when you take Wild Wasteland to get the Alien Blaster.

@gingermagicman Yeah your right. YCS is much more accurate and has a scope so there both useful in different situations. Ive actually been using both recently and the tesla is better with taking down a charging deathclaw but the YCS is better at sniping them from a distance to maintain a sneaky profile.

@ryeder5 True but it also lost most of its splash damage effect as a result of the patch for some reason, I do believe though, that there is a slightly stronger Tesla-Beaton in the DLC Old World Blues, but is has a different name, still the same type of weapon though, same texture model too

If go in VATS from behind those robots you can target their targeting system, wich will make them go frenzy(shoot anything in sight, including the other bots)! Thumbs up so people can see this!

BTW a pulse gun,pulse grenade/mine, or Zap glove will do wonders here!

@afroman071094 well if you must know its called the gobi campaign scout rifle its at a place called "the sniper's nest" overlooking cottonwood cove it's in a footlocker with a very hard lock it comes equiped with a bult in repair kit in the stock of the rifle so it degrades less then the average sniper rifle it also has an extended clip and it weigh's less due to the fact that it has carbon fiber parts

@afroman071094 is a camo for desert not a golden rifle, it is in a box at a place called "snipers nest", you need 100 of lockpick to open the box where it is. There is another brand new sniper rifle with ammo close to new vegas clinic in a room inside in a destroyed house, you need 75 of lockpick to open the room where it is. Have fun.

It was hilarious, I went to the crashed Vertibird and there was nothing. I thought "This is WAY too easy..." so I got it and left, I died and turns out my last save was, you guessed it, by the Vertibird, so I got owned twice by the robots before I ran and raped them with the Guass Rifle (Favorite weapon ever)

I was having trouble finding a set that looks good with the Pimp-Boy so I got my Enclave Armour back from Gannon and realised, orange glow from Pimp-Boy, orange glow from suits fan and eyes, why not use this! Then I remembered the 45 ammo thing but now it's insanely strong and can fire 3-4 before reloading, it also has a 25damage(2s) on it as well! Old World Blues bring it on...

Sooooo im having trouble remembering the name of a gun i came across when i first got the game... then i completely forgot it :( all i remember is i was off the roads exploring some hills where cazadors were and after a pretty decent walk (and more than a few deaths) i happened to walk into some sort of crash or something WAAAAY up in the hills. i cant remember what was there exactly but i think there was a dead body in a camp with a unique gun or some other unique item. anyone know what it is?

[Tip]: You can repair that way, which costs alot of caps, or, you can find 3 weapon repair kits which are scattered out the wastelands.
