The colored LED's are a replacement to the original incandescent lamps that are too hard to find. I reused the lamp bases and did some calculations to add resistor in series to limit current and bought some color changing leds on ebay. They add a nice touch on the reflective cd's
I recently purchased a Seeburg SCD-1, and am in the process of fixing it up. (It works, it just needs cleaned and a few minor (I hope) repairs. No remote for mine. Were there colored lights inside the CD player unit?
Funny that seeburg used the exact same dollar mech from the late 60's all the way to 1985. The dollar mech on my 1969 LS2 gem is identical.

The all grey and chrome version of that box is classy! The colorful later ones lacked the green fluorescent vu meters.

COOL! I didn't realize you could see the mech on that one.
