I am a professor at Columbia College Chicago and I've been searching for a version of Has Anybody Seen My Gal? on the ukulele to use in a piece of audio narrative. It's a personal essay done for audio that is about the ukulele my father used to play. I hope to produce the narrative and present it as audio work.
I would love to use your version. It would only be small snippets, but your version is more of what I'm looking for.
I've listened to quite a few recordings on youtube and yours is the only one that really captures the 1920s feel of this song. Please, can you tell us what strum pattern you're using? And maybe the chords (especially for the instrumental)?
Hey, im sorry not to see your face as this song makes me happy....and im sure you must have a very happy face while playing...just check my Aunt VI's video...she has made the whole world happy...
fine work was at a club tonight where this was on the setlist so checking it out...great version
