Sorry to have to write so much negative things about Samui, but all is true. If you come here don't fack around, especially with Thais, and have some respect. Life he is'nt worth much. If you're laying on the road, you better hope a tourist stops (which anyone longterm here would not do) Cause if it's a thai he can sue your ass, and you lost here without friends! Remember your insurance, the familys on Samui are greedy these days, since there has been to few tourists! Have a good vacation, but don't drive, since that's an old con! Rather hire a driver, cheaper (NOT TAXI, Though)ask around.

I hired a scooter and on returning it I was told I broke the wheel. Total scam!! The thais on these islands just wanna rip u off as much as they can.

Hit & run's happen often and the hitter takes off, and police won't do shit! The place is loaded with cars pick-ups and scotters!
