  • Hey :) Very helpful demonstration. I really want to get this POD to start recording. i have a couple of questions if you don't mind answering..did you have to purchase POD farm separately, or the power supply? Did your pod come with ableton? or do you use it with your own DAW? can you easily make your tones or download patches/tones? And can you take it anywhere to practice, or do you have to have it hooked to a pc or something?

Sorry for all the questions. Thanks a billion! :)

  • ▋▋▋▋ 5,720 Patchs Line6 POD 2.0 L6T POD xt RAR FILE DOWNLOAD

search in ebay paradisses User!!! ▋▋▋▋

  • How hard is it to change the settings? I noticed on things like the foor POD plus it has knobs to select the effects like, tremolo or tron. But on the LiveXT I only see the standard knobs (Bass, middle, treble, etc) how do you select the effects and how would you put them on a preset?

  • I just bought one on ebay for $225 with all the model packs in mint condition! The model packs cost $49 each from line 6. It even has the bass expansion pack which is $ 100 from Line 6. Soooo, if you want one check ebay! The pedal is amazing! Endless tones downloadable from the custom online library staraight to the XT. You can also upload your own tones for other people to use!

  • dude i got offered one of these for $360... you think i should buy it?? i got the money but i just dont want to spend it unless its a really good deal...thanks

  • @Jcc515 stay away from it. I sold mine ages ago.

  • @Jcc515 No, you can buy a new one for 300..

  • too much sand ..

  • The Trooper... played live on a funeral procession.

  • Easy when its slow like this.

learn to play the song as it is....then make a vid.

  • wow this is slow

  • iron maiden !!! UP THE IRONS!!

  • i got this like 2 years ago and let me tell you i havent seen anything like it. i bought mine at my local guitar center, and it just rips. im pretty sure it will bleed your pockets a good 300-350$ USD that is

  • ok i love your skills man. BUT this doesnt really show what the POD can do. cause i can get that sound with my amp. you try demonstrating other features of it. like the other amp models besides the high gain one you just used. and other stuff like delay types and overdrive pedals. other than that you really sound awesome!

  • Up the Irons !!!!

  • does it have a looper?

  • @sdiddy93

    Sadly no :(

  • How much is it?

  • 400 I think in USC

  • Does the POD XT offer an output to amps?

  • yes

  • i thought this was actually pretty good

  • I1d rather hear a slower more accurate solo than a full speed sloppy one , each note sounded sweet so kudos to the guitarist.I`ve been a maiden fan for 30 years and this solo sounded cool . XD

  • Sounded good to me.

  • звук сухой какойто

походу я сильно привык к лампе,

раньше лет 6 назад я бы этот проц с руками оторвал

  • way to slow'

    Up the Irons

  • very slow :( ur bad

  • ho ho very nice !

  • that's 30 bpm slower than the original song lol!

  • even more!

  • THE TROOPER!! UP THE IRONS!!!

  • This solo is of Iron Maiden no?

  • yes

  • Yeah, THE TROOPER ! \m/

  • Slowed down. Don't like it

  • is the pod good for acoustic recording as well? can u plug it into ur computer and record directly into it?

  • yh direct recordin is possible wit low latency.

  • what the hells that?

  • low latency means good? or high latency means good?

  • hey man latency is basically the difference between strumming the chord and hearing it played back so its hwo fast audio can stream so low latency is preferable

  • low means good

  • Yes

  • It is great for accoustic and yes you can connect it directly to the computer via USB and record until your hearts content

  • is there a way i can get a nice distortion sound

without having so much unwanted noise with the hi gain

    with my pod xt live?

    i play with a marshall JCM 900

  • JCM is all tube right?

I use the xt live with a mesa boogie 100 watt 2x12 tube amp. If I want to use the Pod for distortion, I have to turn the gain way down on my amp and play through the clean channel. I like my amps natural dist and mainly use the Pod for Delay,Chorus,EQ.

  • hmm, yes it's all tube, but the natural distortion is to noisy, i like the distortion bands like the faceless have

i got an excellent one with my friends metal zone distortion pedal haha

  • yh dude try and cut some of the high frequency n the eq section

  • I posted a comment here a couple weeks ago. I have to turn the gain control on my amp below 1 on the clean channel if I plug the XT in front of the amp. Through the loop, I can play very loud w/o any noise. Make sure you set the output mode on the XT for what you are plugging into. I had to sacrifice all the gain on my amp to use the XT distortion.

  • if u want to use only the effects of the pod xt and the distortion of your amp, then use the 4 cable method... google it ;)

  • Iron Maiden :D awesome

  • i dont understand you.. u have line 6 x3 pod live and u record with ur camera?ur pod is card sound u can record itt with best sound download audacity wich is recording software and start recording check my video for see what i mean for more help abbout that u can send me a messege cya

  • modern hi as in soldano

  • nah use modern hi gain with no cab :D

  • which amp model is the one with the highest dist. for playing thrash metal kind of slayer stuff??????? please someone answer its urgent

  • I don't know what he was using, but for really hi-gain stuff your best bet is to get the Metal Shop pack from the Line 6 site. The best models for thrash would probably be Line 6 Insane or the Criminal (5150 model).

  • get the metal pack

  • all the packs are allready in the x3 live

  • nice style!!

    grts

  • i am so fucking sick of people flaming this guy whoever he is for his playing. who gives two fucking shits that his version is slower. it sounds fine so can everybody just shut the fuck up

  • Its a slow slow version of Trooper.

  • nice jamming man

  • Uhmm, no. The Trooper.

  • what maiden song is this

  • can you put this pedal with a tube amp by just using the effects and overdrive instead of amp models and cabs

  • i have this pedal. do u no if the bossgt10 is better as im planning on buying one

  • what amp/effect and stuff is this guy using? :D

  • Maiden

  • great pedal

  • I have just purchased an older Boss Gt-6...

I have heard that it is a great processor.

  • chevree todo.. pero mucho escandalooo!!

  • hey man, very nice an close iron maiden song... can you send me this pod xt patch??

  • Great job on the soloing!

  • The trooper solo o:

  • it would sound even better if you run it through a real amp with tubes

  • Even a PA system would sound pretty good. And yeah, like Piloto said, tube amp would sound best.

  • You got it right! This sort of processor can be run through a guitar amp but that will colour the sound somewhat. To get a more accurate impression of the models you need either to go direct to the PA or a keyboard amp

  • true dat

  • no no no. what you need is to run through a well made bass amp with a correctly built cab. bass amps have the ability to cover the complete spectrum sounds and if set up right, can even be used for screaming hot leads. i run my pod through a bass cab live or a good PA.

  • lmao ur an idiot...

  • Am i right in thinking its best to have the most neutral setting possible for these kind of processors?

E.g. I would run it (if Santa Claus is nice this year) through a keyboard amp for the ultimate neutral speaker. That'd make most use of the amp models, right?

  • the trooper is not slow

  • is there a 12 string effect for podxtlive?

  • Well, I only got my XT Live a few days ago, and it does have four or five octave/harmonizer effects, but I haven't messed with them yet to see if there is in fact a 12 string sound.. I've been so hooked on Gearbox I find myself wondering where the last six hours went..lol. If you or anyone comes across a 12 string on it, please let me know. I'll do the same.

  • can you plug a pod xt straight into an amp or does it have to run through an amp and stuff

    ?

  • like how you would plug a guitar =/

  • it can go straight into a pa system or into a guitar amp, it's up to you

  • you cant make it go directly through a cab, cause you need a power amp. So what you could do is get a head with a cab, and then run the pod through the FX loop

  • thanks guys

  • is gt-8 is better than pod xt live

secondly which amp is good for pod xt live

  • No idea, someone else might comment on that. But personally I wouldn't get a valve amp if I was going to use a multi-processor.

  • well, a tube amp may be good, but make sure to plug the pod into the send and return thing...

  • True, otherwise it messes up with the booster... ^_^ clips the sound signal or something like that, prevents from overdriving, as far as my stupid brain understands ^_^ lol

  • yea its gonna be like Bass, over bass, treble over treble, shit like that... so you have to put it into the send and return thing and its gonna be awesome

  • @christianfirst111 really any amp will work. All you'll have to do is play with the EQ on your amp, and possibly in your patch, and you can get a great sound really easily. I run my multi into a crate GFX-30, or if a want more volume a Kustom quad ST stack. Both sound incredibly similar except for volume. However, the best application for the XT is straight into a PA. (Again minor EQing aside) It'll sound amazing.

  • @JediGuitarMaster429 thanks man............

  • Good solo! I personally dont like Iron Maiden much but I respect that the band's musicians are awesome.Anyways The Trooper is about 1 of my only fav songs of the band.

  • it's true is goes faster but it's still good

  • How do you get the best metal distortion from the xt live? and how do you manage to even the volumes in all the settings, ie: you got a distortion sound, and a clean sound and you want them to sound balanced.

  • What I've done is have my sound guy stand in the middle of auditorium while I switch sounds, he hollars out db levels and then I raise/lower then save as needed.

    Hope that Helps

  • yea man!!! the MODERN DAVE MURRAY SOLO!!!!! I think you are using a little bit tooo much distortion my friend, and the song goes a lot faster

  • and you can play it perfectly at the same speed?

    I pretty much doubt it

    seriously

take into consideration how hard it is to actually PLAY the guitar like that in the first place

  • your guitar is " santana SE " ?

  • my favorite solo ever

  • up the Irons !!!!Great man

  • is the headphones connecter 1/4 inch?

  • I think that original song goes faster :)

  • that what i thought too

  • PERFECT!!!

    O.o

    THE TROPPER SOLO...

    YOU RULEZ MAN!!

  • This guy got some good cover and tone.

  • thats a nice cover of the trooper from iron maiden but u dont show the different sound that u can get with the pod

  • IRON MAIDEN THE TROOPER, NICE :)

  • iron maiden definately

  • Whats the name of this song or is he just improvising with his own back track?

  • Iron Maiden - The Trooper

  • thnx. i love you. I'm not gay.

  • nice,, i m going to buy my pod !!!!

  • Nice sound! I've tried my Pod-XT with an older Peavy Classic Amp. The sound is very tinny and not much like he sound through headphones. I've tried may adjustments with no luck. I'm thinking, perhaps it's the amp. Any advice?

    Thanks, Steve

  • Sorry but I can't really help with that question.

Try line6 forums they should answer straight away though most people there aren't very nice ;-)

  • The POD's usually I'm told sound the best Direct Recorded. Meaning plug your guitar into your pod set a speaker cab emulation and plug the other end into your computer and hit record.. could also try a keyboard amp since those pretty much reproduce the original signal without messing with it like your peavy amp does.. but I'd get a 1/4 to mini adapter and try a small piece DI into your computer to test it out and see how it sounds..

  • You can use usb for recording. Your output mode should be at studio direct (the other ones sound very sharp imo). And I don't use a guitar-amp but a PA.

  • thats because theres no tubes! try a vox tonelab

  • Niurzgius, is the pod xt live really good? I'm considering purchasing one.

  • Hey biggibby 54,

Depends on personal need, after having it for a while I now still prefer using simple setup with analog pedal(-s). Guitar->booster(BOSS ds1)->valve amp. To me it sounds a lot nicer a better than POD Xtl.

And generally I think it's better to get separate pedals rather than a big box full of crap.

Try one yourself in shop and see, some people prefer multi processors, others analog pedals.

  • yo what amp and stomp is it on i cant find any good ones so can u plzz tell me thanks

  • well that was about poop

  • how much did ur pod xt cost?

  • Don't know the same as for others check online shops

  • in europe it costs around 400 and 500 euros.

in the us, about 400$, which are like 300 euros or something.

  • yea i bought mine for 410e here in portugal and i had i ncie deal :P

  • It is around 500 euros ( 680 dollars )

  • I thought it was 500 dollars, or is that for the X3 LIVE.

  • i paid 550 dollars

  • u dont need an x3 live. pod xt live does the job

  • this is a trash guitar plaiyng!!! I'me from brazilian!!!

  • Yeah right ...

  • im from "brazillian" yeah, so that means you know how to play better. just shut up

  • Yo..

How can I keep a delay to decay after I've switched patches? If I go to a lead tone to a rhythm tone, my delay cuts off when I hit the new patch. That's fuckin' bullshit dude..

  • Ehm, put the same delay configuration on both patches.

And save it with delay on.

So you wont hear a difference when changing patch :/

  • do the pods have built in drum beats like the digitechs do?

  • Don't think so.. at least pod xtl doesn't not sure about the newest one.

  • should i get the Pod XT Live or a Pod X3

  • Why is he playing it slowed down?

I know it's not you playing but do you happen to know?

  • Can't remember the original though it sounds like 120bpm

  • that's a slower version of the trooper solo

  • Hmmmmmmmm.......were have I heard this lead before?

  • tony mcalpine's tone

  • This is awsome!

    But Question:

I've got the PODXT Live and a Variax and I practice with headphones directly feeding from the pedal as I do not have an amp. When I play I get a "buzzing" sound that's slightly constant with high overdrive channels that increases dramatically when my fingers touch the strings. This happens with any mod-setting and I can't figure out what's wrong. Is it chords? My Guitar itself?

    T_T HELP MEE!!!!

  • Ehm, can't really tell what's wrong with it, but it might be clipping, basically it's too loud maybe, try turning down the Volume knobs on pod xtl by a wee bit... well you get the idea..

  • Nah man thats electro magnetics. Pickups on your guitar get Nah mate thts electro magnetics from things in your room such as old CRT pc monitors and old TVs it happens with mine so i move to a room with less electrical equiptment so theres no interference from things in your room such as old CRT pc monitors and old TVs it happens with mine so i move to a room with less electrical equiptment so theres no interference.

  • For me its the ungrounded dont know the word in english but the "electricity plugins in the wall":)u know.or u have a abd grounding in the guitar

  • is this pod xt made to just plug into the computer and let you play thru that or whats the deal, my videos suck cause my camera is shitty..but shit if i could do that then it would be awesome.. anyways anyone wanna check out my channel i am a noob at guitar i just hit the 10th month on playing and yes i suck..lol

  • Man, I love that POD XT Live! $499.00 and you can emulate any fuckin' tone in the universe! Decent "Trooper" solo, a bit slowed down, but OK.

  • I don't think it is that great myself, looking forward selling my one.

Analog pedals all the way up!

  • I just love the idea of not having to lug amps to gigs if you don't have to lol...And most people don't notice the difference in clubs and stuff in terms of the nuances in sound. Hell I'd love to have all the works .. few stacks , nice rack but I'd be broke. This seems the logical solution. I heard you could still mix old school stompboxes with these gizmos. I too love the old MXRs and all that...

  • Nice one man, good guitar tone, and if i am right thats the solo to The Trooper by Iron Maiden.

    But a slower version haha.

  • speak ENGLISH

  • i like the song =)

    well played

  • I approved your comments, but please write in English from now on.

  • :) it is the universal language now... YES??

  • Yes indeed ;-)

  • Can the pod drive a cabinet or speaker on its own or do you have to run it through a amp or head unit? Thanks!

  • The pod sounds best when plugged straight into a PA. So yes, there is no need for a combo or head unit.

  • Thank you!

I should just break down and buy one.

  • the pod sounds terrible direct...

i use it just for effects, amp modeling and cab sims suck so much dick, just get a real amp.

  • ok. you only say me the sounds for ex.stomp:fx killer delay:analog dly...

  • Read description - not me playing so I have no fricking idea

  • ı have line 6 pod xt live do you describe me your dis.t effecet

  • Not sure if the distortion is from pod at all, and dunno what the settings are. sorry

  • thats an iron maiden solo good work!!!

  • This song is The Trooper by IRON MAIDEN !

  • wad song was that ?

  • hey very good

  • Nice job! Great tone and playing

  • What guitar is that ?

  • American Fender HH.

  • you play it slower yet you miss many notes. practice it a little more dude.

  • I use the Podxtl as well ...which model did you use and are you going through a poweramp setup or what? I use the Crate PB via Line6 4x12 cab

  • I have no idea. (-: Read description.

  • I did and it offered no specifics. Not that it's a big deal I just thought you might know more details if you were the one playing solo while using the Line 6 gear.
