i'm a RHCP fan since the age of 15,i'm 35 now..have seen them twice live and i have to say this is one of my top ten songs of them..dunno why..it's such a mysterious & beautiful song...listening to this song makes me you feel either very happy or just nothing while listening ..no middle point here.
I know that John was instrument in BTW, but can anyone else tell that this was his baby?? It seems like it can fit more on a JF solo album but it works for BTW too!

I think that by the way is their best album, but Californication is better. On Californication their music was harder than 'by the way', they had time, when they getting serious, after for example BSSM. On 'by the way' they created more mild, and pop-nice songs. Those two albums were their best! I don't like now Stadium Arcadium. Music from SA is like sweet pop-stupid songs, not all, but overall they are.
Stadium Arcadium was shit. It was even worse because it was a really big bunch of shit. I had to suffer through all the songs before I decided I never wanted to hear any of them again. Except Wet Sand... It was weird, it almost seemed random that that one song would be good.
