  • I think City had another one with the identical message, but the background picture was Godzilla ripping a transmission tower out of the ground.

  • 0:06 - Old women went to the muffin stand.

  • There was a show on City early saturday or sunday morning, the theme song for it was "love hurts" by Nazareth and I think at the closing credits a guy was standing there then jumped off a ledge or something. Anyone remember what it was called?

  • I miss the days of Moses Zaimer

  • I liked how they put the analog clock on the screen at the top of the hour.

  • Did Citytv have an elevator music version of 'It's Not Unusual'? It would have been an ideal fit.

Didn't MuchMusic have a silly technical difficulties tape with Steve Anthony doing silly things?

  • I love Citytv's sense of humour, and they still remain to be very funny.

  • funny how mark dailey plays around with his voice in the citytv ID...

i wonder if he always did the voice-overs live back in the day... :P

  • He also did the news waayy back when.

City Pulse 24 shows the old old clips of their new programme from the early 80s late night Sundays

  • oh, yeah, those earlier clips of him doing the late-night news (which he still does now) i've seen here on youtube...he was still a little leaner that time...:P

and yes, i do love watching "rewind" on CP24, too, with all those old "citypulse" broadcasts...but now that CP24 is under CTV's ownership, i'm guessing they'll eventually let go of those replays (i hope not, though)...

  • CP24 will eventually stop playing those clips. Me personally, I don't think CTV deserves to get CP24, but oh well, what can you do?

  • ahh...that's just sad...i hope city can accommodate that into their schedule, though...i mean, i've loved "rewind" since the first time i saw it! hehe...

well, the ups and downs of business...i think, too, that CP24 shouldn't have gone under CTV, especially because CTV already has their 24-hour newsnet channel...oh, well...

  • Thats the same I'm saying. Why should CTV get CP24, when they already have CTV NewsNet, I just don't understand.

  • My guess: CTV Newsnet is national, while CablePulse 24 is local.

  • Thats true, but there still both 24 hour news stations, and I don't understand why the CRTC allows CTV to keep them both. When CTV bought TSN, back in 2000 they had to sell CTV Sportsnet (to which today is now Rogers Sportsnet.

  • It's not CityPulse24, it's CablePulse24.
