This thing works based on the generation of an artificial updraft. Heating of the earth underneath the tower is what generates this updraft. The force of the updraft sets the large generating disk on top of the tower in motion. It can also be turned by wind, utilizing a series of vanes attached to the top of the disk. According to the patent, the updraft can be augmented by blowers which are driven solely by the inertia of the generating disk.

Its an wind turbine, but vertical, and works by levitation so there is lot less attraction so a lot more efficiency gives a lot more energy then conventional wind turbines.
