ok what you need to do is clean the neg terminal on the battery than follow the ground to the tranny unbolt it sand it down nicely sand the conectors and use new bolt to tie it back down if it goes away completely good if it gets only better run another thick guage wire to a bolt on the tranny closest to the crank position sensor and ont forget to sand
i think you're right about that. my car stopped and i cannot start it. we tried jump starting but it didn work. there is big dirt on the battery something that came out of battery. neg terminal?
did u get it to start yet im almost positive its the ground i had the same exact issue just sand the neg terminal sand the ground and run another thick ground wire to a tranny bolt closest to the crank sensor this should solve all your problems
My brothers 96 Maxima GLE started doing this after he had a rebuilt transmission put in the car. Any one know how to fix this? At night while trying to start giving in some gas it would back fire from the intake "You could see the air filter light up". o.0
@smartkid1985 I wonder if you know what a spark plug is or if thats just what someone told you because this problem has nothing to do with the plugs or the ignition lock cylinder.
Voltage is cutting on/off while trying to start the car so its a ground problem for sure.
mine did the samme thing jus got a new starter, fixed

you need better ground cables going to the battery, clean the terminals, or create more.
