This game sucks in gameplay, cuase if you wanna fly youll be punished like hell, unless its the last stage, then it reall sucks to be megatron or shockwave. And help from the AI? forget it, they all chase you and ignore the other 2, and the background? Same dull thing over and over. But it was a really nice try and a step in the right direction

they were in it from the start and you can't play as them. maybe dirge thrust and ramjet (the coneheads) but Starscream, thundercracker and skywarp should have all been playable and who's sound blaster

This game has a number of bigger problems than the selection of playable characters, but here's the quick rundown: First of all this video isn't displaying all the characters in the game, just all those that have been unlocked or encountered up to a certain point. Second there is no point in having 2 playable characters of the same body type, thus TC, SW, and even Ironhide are relegated to drone status in favor of Starscream and Ratchet. Soundblaster is a rebuilt Soundwave from the future.

For one, the gameplay was shit, camera angle didn't really support the focus of melee combat (you couldn't always judge the distance of an enemy - would your kick even reach?). The story was so-so, and once you beat it you can't replay it with leveled up characters - so you were stuck playing as one or two characters through the game (leveling up the few). Also some of the puzzles were ridiculous - especially the laser trip lines in the last mission, and all the missions against wind turbines.

I mostly agree with every point except the story. It's bullshit. It tears continuity a new asshole with the whole time travel thing. For one the Headmasters are a part of the present day Transformers. 2, even if they weren't, there's indication that those who are from the future were from a point before the headmasters showed up, thus there should be no Soundblaster either. In short, time travel creates massive headaches, especially in crappy games.

I like this game's character models though.

Oh yeah, big gigantor evil bosses of doomy doom. They are in the game though, and do transform methinks. (Haven't played in years, but could have sworn they do) - also, the clone bots are ramjet types, ironhide/ratchet types, and various others. You'll recognize them as characters, but they're just using them as mass produced fodder in this game.

I know the characters and the transformation effects are really great, but thats not enough. The gameplay itself is boring, and your transformation means that your character does somekinda action. Then it turns back into robot form. Sad...

Soundblaster is Soundwave, in the Headmaster series his body was destroyed in a fight with Blaster and only his head survived, so Laserbeak took it back to Galvatron who built him a new body and renamed him Soundblaster.
