This is from the First Chechen War, right? How come most of the guys are armed with older 7.62 AKM/AKMS type rifles and not the standard issue 5.45 AK-74M or even 7.62 AK-103? I thought Specnaz soldiers are the first ones to get new weapons, although some of the guys actually had some ultra-modern (for the time) equipment, like the RG-6 and an SVU (that guy who was running towards the BTR).
