So ants were not talking in HUMAN language but Prophet Sulaiman/Solomen understood THEIR language . Professor Jeremy Thomas, of the University of Oxford on Feb 9, 2009 released his research findings that ants can communicate with each other by talking.

Qur'an says that some Prophets were given some extra miracles.
If we believe in virgin birth of Jesus peace be upon him while there is not yet any proven case of PARTHENOGENESIS in humans, then we must accept the case of Prophet Sulaiman's miracle which was understanding animal and bird's languages by HIM.
So he used to talk to birds in THEIR language ,NOT THE VICE VERSA.

the QURAN never said that the earth is flat.....maybe the ancient translator said so(which is his opinion...and his knowledge as i said before).
actually the QURAN was the first one to say that the sun is moving to a solar apex piont and that PRECISLY what recent science discovered.....they used to say that the sun is fixed...but we say>> (And the sun is moving on the course prescribed for it. @BONBONEH88 Its not only the translation that changed, it was also the interpretations that changed a lot, to keep up with he new knowledge. How come they had to do this at all ? If a book is really inspired by god, the minimum expactation would be to write it in a way that you cant interprete in different ways, that is clear in its statements, to avoid confusion. If you dont do that, the book is rubish, everybody could interprete it how he likes, and that is what happened

one of the problems with this verse in quran is that, how on earth was it possible for an ant to distinguish between Solomon and a soldier who were with Solomon? Another problem is that nothing is mentioned by muhammad about the location of that vally or why they came to that vally of ants.. nor why muhamad brought that fictional story up in t firs place
