  • Hes a good pitcher over all he has amazing stuff but i think he has composer issues because after 1 hit it turns into a double, triple, or even a home run. I think maybe they should put him in the bullpen cause he does good in 3 or4 innings since hes an ex starting pitcher they can leave him out there for an extra inning. Thumbs up if u agree

  • it sounded like the announcer said lance berkman and brandon inge.... but maybe im smoking marijuana

  • i dont know what it is..he has good stuff to be a great pitcher. i like him cuz he know he worked hard over the off season and really wants to contribute to the team but somehow he can barely make it through to 4th or 5th inning almost everytime he starts

  • This guy is a fucking bird!!

comeing from a true die hard yankee fan

  • before he ruins the whole yanks post season either trade this CLOWN - or let him walk

  • @robertvideo he just saved our postseason so....

  • Me GuTaa CoMoo Pichaa AJ Burnett La Bola Rapiida De Ese Señorr Es 96 97 MPH ii TIene Una De Las Mejores MECaNicas De Picheoo Te FeliSiTo Aj .. !! Sii Dioss Me Lo PerMiitee Te Caere Atras En La VeloCidad tuya =D

  • His throws are effortless

  • @bigmule100 He's warming up

  • boss

  • i love his styyle

  • gaaaaaasss

  • such smooth mechanics... thank god he's getting it together this year.... a lot of fun to watch him pitch.

  • he's stop that big, roundhouse follow through with his leg. now, AJ pitches more in a straight line and he's throwing much better.

  • wow hes good. he should play in the majors

  • @BasementFights He does... he's the New York Yankees 2nd-4th starter...

  • @FruschendrixFan01

haha i know i was just kidding

  • This guy sucked this year for the Yankees. 11 era in July? Why is he in the majors?

  • @Calibersz In his first 6 games (or first 5...something like that) he had a 3.28 era. Hes got great pitches, and has movement on the ball, but for whatever reason he is always giving up runs. I have faith in him for next year, hating him for his 2010 season doesn't help anyone. From what I have been hearing, he turned part of his barn into a pitchers mound, and is working during the offseason to become a better pitcher....he is determained and I think he should get a second chance...

  • @Manong72 Third strike, and he should be fired.

  • @Calibersz Because he has the best curveball in baseball and a sub-4.0 career ERA. Only ignorant idiots think Burnett isn't a great pitcher. The beginning of the season last year he was lights out, absolutely dominant. He faltered at the end but hell Cliff Lee had a 5.5 ERA season and a 6.3 that got him sent back to AAA. Isn't Burnett allowed ONE season like that

  • im related to him

  • I wish he would have stayed in Toronto.

For a career 50/50 shot at winning any given game......that's a total joke for the money they give him. Just imagine...pitching for a team with so many all-stars and Hall of Famers...and this meatball can't do any better than a 50/50 shot.

I would love to know how many pitchers have a better era than this slop throwing, drunken, smug faced, salary raping, era swelling, bandwagon jumping, misfit. I will PRAY he doesn't start in the playoffs vs. the Rays!

  • Too bad we paid a shit ton of money for Burnett and he can't pitch worth shit anymore.

  • @HelloImMateo he still has nasty stuff its just he always throws his fastball right down the cock

  • @chicksdigmizunos98 And he throws his slider 45 feet half the time.

  • A.J. stands for A Jackass. lol.

  • Is it me.....or is this guy nothing more than a .500 pitcher who is making waaaaay to much money??? From what I have seen this year....he is a complete disaster. And sports anchors actually list him as a big name signing from last year....what a joke that is.

  • @ufosrhear21 yup, hes a joke just like the rest of the yankees. he lied about how he hurt his hands. total faggot.

  • @ufosrhear21 ya he is im a yankee fan i dont get it hes got great stuff but mentally he just always gets beat

  • Lincecum is a better pitcher but not as consistent as Roy Halladay. Halladay has been the most consistent pitcher in baseball for a while now.

  • Beautiful motion and delivery. Any other videos with same perspective, even of other pitchers?

  • 1. Lincecum

    2. Halladay

    3. Jimenez

    4. Garza

    5. Santana

    6. Sabathia

    7. Lee

    8. Cain

    9. Price

    10. Hernandez

  • @alphamale303 ur out of ur mind if u think Garza is better than Santana

  • @alphamale303 more like 1. Halladay 2. Lincecum 3. Jimenez 4. Carpenter 5. Sabathia 6. Cain 7. Lester 8. Gallardo 9. Hernandez 10. Haren and Santana tied because amazing pitchers sucking this year. Haren is probably the best batter out of all of these Pitchers as well.
  • @enacku Where beuhrle and peavy?

  • @Howie7777777 Beuhrle is a solid pitcher, just don't think he's a top 10. Maybe if he pitched at a more pitchers friendly ballpark he would be. Peavy has been hurt for like 2 years. If he's back to him old self, definitely a top 10. Cliff Lee and David Price have been excellent too this year.

  • i can't remeber the last time a pitcher had that nasty of a curve ball

  • aj burnett is a RACIST

  • If you think aj sucks, or is overrated, I humbly point you in the direction of game 2 of the world series:p

  • @Chevy64w then I would direct you to the game against the White Sox when he gave up 7 earned runs before he recorded an out.

  • he is fuckin beast...... needs work on the placement of his curve though

  • this fucker under achived this year

  • No, he's just really overrated, this 2009 season was on par for a typical AJ Burnett performance. 2008 was a contract year and a fluke.

  • Lawl

  • and who won the world series. ya thats what i thought

  • AJ looks like a redneck crack head

  • Lmfao

  • If ppl think lincicum is a better pitcher than Roy halladay they r smoking a crack

  • AMEN when roy halladay is on he is the hardest picth to hit in the league imo

  • AMEN as well, it would have to be some pretty good crack to think Lincecum could be better than Roy.

  • Its not reall inexplicable given that he won a Cy Young (just like Halladay), but I choose Halladay over Lincecum because he has better command

  • @J22rudyp i realize this comment's from almost a year ago, but that makes it even more ridiculous

  • @J22rudyp totally cuz roy has more experience than tim

  • @J22rudyp are you fucking kidding

  • @J22rudyp I think LIncecum is better but i am smoking weed.

  • @linkin49park182 gotta love the honesty

  • @J22rudyp true that, lincecum has the ring but halladay has a no hitter in his fucking first october game

  • @tng150 Yeah and Don Larson has the only perfect game in World Series history, but would you take him over Whitey Ford?

  • @J22rudyp Lol how do you explain the NLCS then? sorry buddy but at least we know Cody Ross is better than Roy Halladay haha!

  • @ProjectOps209 how about i posted that comment a year ago ur sorta late there "buddy" n who gives a shit roy halladay pitched way better in the season than lincecum u must be crazy. a perfect game and a no hitter in his first postseason start smh

  • @J22rudyp Yeah a Year ago is even more rediculous but how can you argue agaisnt when both teams faced eachother? Roy holladay couldn't look worse, not saying hes a bad pitcher but the NL west have been dealing with A LOT of great pitchers, your just mad lincecum is having a better year, two cyyoung awards in his first two years in the bigs? come on man get out of here,

  • @J22rudyp call me a drug addict but..... ;) hahahah jk roy halladay is a much better pitcher overall

  • @J22rudyp halladay's over the hill. timmy is in his prime. Lincecum>Hallagay

  • But you have to give the Doc some credit, he was the best at the begginning of the season, but he hasnt gottin much rus supporst as of latley, i mean look at him since 2003 his dropped like 3 MPH on his fastball and still getting ALOT of guys to chase i mean come on

  • r u guys all forgetting that felix hernandez has no run support... 2.4 era, 12 wins with like 8 no decisions all 3 er less in the no decisions.... and he's 23! no help, on mariners....think of his potential!

  • Lincecum is 30-8 overall, He has more command and strikes out more people. Halladay Is ok i think hes overrated kinda, and Santana was amazing in like 2006, hes just been going down hill ever since.

  • Halladay is a better pitcher. not so much recently because he is having a tough time since the all star break. but if you talk to lincecum he will admit that he is inferior to Doc. lincecum and beckett have great numbers because they are on good teams. Jays are struggling this season. On the yankees Roy would have 15+ wins. i have seen the games he starts. no run support (like 2 runs litterally). so many analysts and baseball experts agree Doc's best. besides, he is in the AL!

  • Lol? Halladay probably has some of the best command in the league. He is one of the most consistent, and isn't even a strike out pitcher. If anything, when Lincecum starts get more known in the league, he will dip more since he is a K pitcher.

  • AJ BURNETT DATS ITS MY IDOL ^ _ ^ LOL

  • there are a lot of great pitches in baseball right now. halladay is obv. a contendor so is lincecum

  • he's ok.but beckett is better

  • Roy Halladay's better.... just saying

  • incorrect

  • no shit lol roy halladay is like the best pitcher in baseball right now. him and santana are the top 2

  • what about lincecum

  • hes good but i said halladay and santana r top 2. dont think lincecum is better than santana or hallday rite now, even though santana is hurt

  • thats was a nasty change up around the 46sec. mark good job

  • BEAST PITCHER

  • Great angle.

  • Yea Nice Cam

    How many fps?

  • nice camera dude

  • as a jays fan i can tell you yankee fans that you paid way too much for this guy. when he's on he's lights out but you'll only get 5 outings a year like that. the rest of the time he's all over the place trying to strike everybody out. plus he's a pussy plus he's got a weird attitude

    shit signing, you can hav'em

  • yaaa he has nasty stuff but no mental capacity

  • teh. and thats why ull never be a coach or any other authority figure in baseball or any other sport for those matters. jew

  • What the fuck are a bunch of canadiens doing on a yankees video?!

  • Actually he's still with the Jays in this video, so I believe this is a Jays video. Fucking noob.

  • yankees suck, aj sucks more, roy is the man. jays all the way

  • u shut a fuck up...yankees beat the jays asses yesterday and today....goooooooooo yankeeeeeeeeeeees

  • ahah jays in first all the way baby..JAYS #1

    YANKEES SUCK, EVERYONE KNOWS IT

Its like a house, if its in one area its cheap in another area its expensive. a player payed more does not make him better. let over pay aj burnett and maybe he'll be good...yankees suck

  • well, the only reason that yankees lost on some of the games because A Rod wasn't there, now, ur gona c...they beat the twins yesterday and today...and soon there are gona be on the first place...

  • They were blow outs too werent they ahah.

    GO JAYS

  • Who's in first place again?

  • well what have the jays lost 9 in a row?

  • aahhhhhhh.....shut up

  • hahaha the Toronto crowd gave it to this leech good. What a waste of 80 million bucks, this guy stinks! Tip your hat to that, jackass! Yankees, u can have this pussy

  • First of all learn some english. Secondly, I still don't see why everyone says the Yankees should win with their payroll. Money does not make a player better. And with their money, they can overpay anybody they want, to them its not overpaying. This millenium? Are you a retard? They won 3 from 97-now.

  • yanks payed way too much for this guy. he's the real life nook laloosh, kids got a 10 cent head on him. then again playing in a market like ny that might not be such a bad think. still lol'ing at the yanks inability to NOT win a championship this millennium with their stoopid payroll. and their not going to win one any time soon with girardi at the helm. george castanza 4 gm/coach

  • What brand of camera was used to shoot this? I like how smooth Burnett looks.

  • i like how smooth he looks too. one of my favorite pitchers

  • well one thing is for sure, he always killed the yankees so at least they won't have to face him! And he does a good job against boston too, besides, I don't think there were many other pitchers available either, other than derek lowe. And don't forget you have phil hughes to fill in if he gets injured

  • im a mets fan and im so happy that the yankees got him they throw a shitload of money at a guy whos had two injury free seasons in his career and the seasons he wasnt injured arent anything special last years his era was 4.07 that is very high he also had ten losses (more than oliver perez!!!) and hes 32 so hes not getting any better and the injury problem are probably going to get worse as he gets older not a smart signing he deserves a two year 20 million contract

  • His ERA was less than Oliver Perez's of 4.22, does that make his SUPER high? As for her had a whopping 3 losses more than Perez, he also had 8 more wins than Perez. And more K's, and less BB, and less HR allowed, and threw more innings.

  • sadly perez's career is somewhat similar to burnetts a shade worse hes a was of money two healthy seasons in his career dumb signing bottom line and even if you dont compare him to perez his stats werent impressive the least bit

  • 4.07 is MLB average, not "very high". So what if he lost 10 games? Oswalt had a 20 win season, along with 10 losses. 20-10. Does that sound bad to you? Because I would take it any day.

  • so u dont pay that much for an injury plagued "average pitcher" u just dont if u gave him less money it wudv been smarter and it his era was high considering the money and years he was awarded and look at oswalts two twenty win ten loss seasons 3.49 and 2.94 better than league average

  • I dunno, with the Yanks offense behind him there's a chance of a 20 game winner. But you're right, not with a 4.07 ERA.

  • yea he cud win twenty games if he stays healthy which is a big ?

  • It's a "big" because like two posts ago you said he was not getting any better because he is 32. I bet he could get better. I think if he didn't throw so hard he would learn control and get better. And he would lose maybe 2 of those 10 losses to the Yankees.

  • actually he owned the yankees in his starts last year but i dont think he cud just reinvent himself at 32 its too hard if ur a power pitcher

  • Comment removed

  • any era over 4.00 these days is high

  • I know that the Yankees have all of this money available now on the payroll, but it's foolish to pay A.J. Burnett over 16 million a year because he had a good year. He has the potential to be a dominant pitcher, but he lacks composure and is injury-prone. The Yankees don't need another injury-prone pitcher and they certainly don't need a pitcher lacking in composure choking under the bright Yankee lights.

  • I have to disagree . .i think AJ will be fine ! . stop with you bullshit

  • I wonder if you would've said the same things about Carl Pavano or Jaret Wright.... A.J. Burnett has a wonderful upside, but he's never had a great full season in his 8 years. (He had a great second half of '08, not a great '08 season.) If he stays healthy and doesn't choke under the immense expectations of the New York media and fans, I think he'll be fine. However, he's lacked composure in smaller venues and he's been an oft-injured pitcher.

  • According to the New York Daily News, Johnny Damon and Alex Rodriguez placed multiple phone calls to A.J. Burnett, recruiting him to join the Yankees.

"Johnny was calling him regularly, and he and Alex talked on numerous occasions," an anonymous baseball official told the Daily News. "Johnny talked to A.J. about New York, the differences between New York and Boston, how he views it. Johnny couldn't be happier here (in New York) and he communicated those thoughts to A.J."

  • welcome to the bronx bombers!

  • Future Yankee great!!

  • welcome to the bronx AJ hope to see u there

  • AJ will look good in Bronx pinstripes.

  • aj will go 2 da yanks braves or reDsox

  • GM John Mozeliak shot down rumors that the Cardinals are in the running for free agent A.J. Burnett.

"We've never engaged them," said Mozeliak. "I'm not even looking at the price. I'm looking at what we have. We have three pitchers with multiyear deals. I don't know if adding a fourth makes that much sense." The Cards have signed Chris Carpenter, Adam Wainwright and Kyle Lohse to long-term deals in recent years.

  • did he tak to u....

  • there playing the phils

  • I just like his name
