  • haha happy shapping

  • I love how you have Tegan and Sara in the background, it brought a smile to my face x)

  • How does it preform in low light?

  • tiesto tiesto tiesto

  • you know it's very noisy when you unboxing this lens with the music in the TV

  • where do you live?....not trying to be creepy

  • @NICKmv573 Alberta, Canada

  • Did you know this and other efs's lenses 18-55is, 55-250is, 10-22mm will work on a 1DMKII or full frame, if ur interested send me note and I will give you the link for the pdf file with step by step instructions

  • @dalephill2 send me the link plz i am interested

  • nice video. do you have any more pictures taken with this lens? I'm really curious =D

  • Hm, did you see the other vid I have on here? It has pics from all the lenses... let me know.

  • omg i want that so badly

  • Whats the name of the song in the bckround? Also good review/in depth unboxing :)

  • Thanks!

The main song that was playing at the time is a Tiesto remix of a song called "Back In Your Head" by Tegan and Sara

  • it doesn't come with a lens hood

  • Yeah, it doesn't. However if you wanted one, it would be the EW-83E that you would need.

  • Thats our Dutch DJ Tiesto in the background there!

  • You got it :P

  • @samuraimacisthebest

    Yeah yeah(H)

  • hey mate great video.

I'm was wondering what else did the lady tell you, besides the cheaper price?

Because, like you, i'm looking to get a wide angel lens, either 10-22m or a fisheye lens (Canon EF 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye or the Tokina 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 fisheye).

Since you have both, wide angel n fisheye, how are they?

  • Thanks!

Well I think the main difference between the two is that with the fisheye, you get the whole curved earth effect. With wide angle, like this 10-22mm, you don't get any of that effect.

May I ask what camera you have? If you have a XSi like mine or closely similar, the Canon 15mm fisheye WILL NOT look the same as it does in pictures you find on google or whatnot. There is quite little of the curved earth effect. This is because the XSi does not have a full-frame sensor.

  • The two are really different in the sense of what effect they give. If you can, try out the lenses at the store, and you can really see. Or, I can send you a link or something of a couple pictures with them.

They are both very GREAT lenses though. If you're looking just for a wide angle, go for the 10-22mm. If you want something with a kick and definitely unique effect, then check out the fisheye (but not the Canon 15mm for the XSi.. In my opinion, not worth the money with such little effect..)

  • I have the XTi. I'm sure the pics are of the full frame. so yeah, the 15mm is off my list. however i've seen the Tokina 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 fisheye + XTi combo, eventhough its not full frame, the pictures came out great. I am considering that lens, and just de-fish for any wide angel shots. Right now the 10-22mm is $1000+, online is not an option for me, and the fisheye is about $800.

  • these canadian price are ridiculous!

  • Haha I agree. Though when I bought the 10-22mm, I got it for just under 900. And now it'll be about 1100 from the same place.

  • i would buy this one cause i like landcsape-photos, but it's too expensive :( :(

  • Just got one myself. Love it!

  • does all lens are zoomed out on your comparison in the last part??

  • Yeah, neither of them are zoomed whatsoever.

  • thanks

    good video

  • hey how many lenses do you have?

  • Five. Three of them have videos here, and the other two are the 18-55mm, and the 55-250mm.

  • pretty expensive. my friend bought one for about $600 with tax last feb.

  • where?

  • try b&hphotovideo

  • how much?

  • $849.00 on shelf, $891.45 after taxes

  • I love Tiësto Parken Copenhagen playing in the background :P

  • This week, i'm gonna get a 450D and a 10-22 in Europe :)

    450D + 18-55 IS = 600 Euros (I'll sell the lens for about 150 euros :p)

    Canon 10-22 USM = 700 Euros

I already have a 17-40 but it sux balls on an APS-C/H sensor.

I love WIde Angle sooo bad and I love landscapes :)

  • great video mann i live in canada too, got the same camera as yu the XSI i want that lens so bad but it cost so muchhh 850$!! so luckyy

  • Glad you enjoyed it! It's an amazing lense! I definitely recommend it.

  • You did not need to spend 850 for that lens! You could have got in on amazon for around 670 dollars. You really should hunt on line to save yourself money :)

  • What you failed to do is see where he's from before making your comment. Not everyone is located in the USA, it's true! there is actually a world outside of the US of A, unbelievable I know but it's true. He's from Canada and Canadians pay a premium for electronics, ordering from amazon would have cost him more after conversion, S/H and duty and customs fees.

  • Oh gosh! it doesn't matter to me in the least. I didn't know that he was from Canada, and i really don't care. I know that Canadian prices are more expensive, because, that it just how it is. I don't even live in the US, i like in the bahamas, where the prices are even more rediculous

  • Well it still doesn't change the fact that amazon or any online retailer is not always the best place to order. After conversion, S/H and most times Duty/Customs fees will push the price at or over that of simply walking into a store and buying in person.

  • That might be true in other parts of the world, but that isn't true in the Bahamas. Here, things are 50%-75% more expensive than they are in the United States. So, if i can order something online, costing a few hundred dollars, i can save a few hundred dollars. Also, they don't even sell lenses where i live. So, i don't have the luxury of walking into the store, and buying it. I have ordered a lot of SLR equipment from amazon, i am very happy.

  • Yeah if I was in that situation, online would definitely be the best choice. I'm fortunate enough to live about 20ish minutes away from a camera store with the stuff I need, so for me, it's way less hassle to do it that way.
