@martygwest So since Hill didn't produce his first novel until his mid thirties "that says everything"? Meaning his dad wrote it? I guess Stephen King wrote Lord of the Flies too. Since it is Golding's 1st & he was 43 when it was produced.

There is a growing consensus in the literary world that he had help. In other words, his father wrote some or all of the chapters when he wasn't writing his own books. He didn't produce a novel until his mid-30s. I think that says it all. You never hear anything from the other 2 offspring because they can't write either. Most children of famous people never accomplish anything. They've had everything handed to them. They haven't learned the value of hard work. They don't have to work.
@martygwest There isn't a consensus in the literary world about anything ever. I can't imagine there would be about such a dorky idea as this one. Sorry kiddo.
@martygwest Have you read "Locke & Key"? There's no way his father is writing that. Also I doubt I he would go out of his way to change his name if he was just a trust fund baby.

This guy is seriously one of the worst writers ever. The only reason why people buy his books and kiss his ass is because of his father. He hires this naive Chilean dude to do 90% of the work on his comics and then he turns around and takes most of the credit...and money... as if he needs it. It's not fair trade. It's exploitation. This is the kind of stuff that Gabriel Garcia Garquez won a Nobel Prize for writing about...and the reason why Che Guevara is rolling over in his grave.

@martygwest How pathetically cliche' an assumption is that? You sound like a bitter failed writer.

It was an awesome book. The ending was a little lackluster but getting there was great.
