Wow #1 their 0-60 times for the cosworth, rs500, and is in the mid 6 second range, so that's certainly quick for a car from the 80's, but it's not going to beat the newer stangs. And Astras are like 10 second 0-60 cars....so I could beat them with a school bus. Plus all the cars you presented me were actual specially race tuned vehicles, whereas the stangs (minus cobras, GT500's) are all just straight V8 pure power and can be finely tuned by their owners for endless performance possiblities.

@cherry1873 What GT were you driving in? All the new Mustang GT's today are 300+ HP and next years model will be 416 HP. A honda type r wouldnt even be able to touch that. I dont even think those could keep up with an old 5.0. Hell, my mom's full size caddy could own a type R

Just the new regular GT does 0-60 in 5 flat, and next years GT has over 100 HP more than the previous year, and it's going to be around a 4.5 second car. What performance cars does the UK have other than the Jaguar type R? You have to get your electrical system re-done like every month with British cars. Wow #1 their 0-60 times for the cosworth, rs500, and is in the mid 6 second range, so that's certainly quick for a car from the 80's, but it's not going to beat the newer stangs. And Astras are like 10 second 0-60 cars....so I could beat them with a school bus. Plus all the cars you presented me were actual specially race tuned vehicles, whereas the stangs (minus cobras, GT500's) are all just straight V8 pure power and can be finely tuned by their owners for endless performance possiblities.

cosworths from the 80/90s come out the factory like this,
as for the astra vxr 0-60 aint 10 sec,more like 6sec,which is not very quick,but again this cars only a 2litre,and im sure its top speed is faster than the STANG, or school bus you drive, which most american cars are based on

The 03-04 Termintor Cobra was a 4.5 second car and reached speeds of 180 all for around 30 grand. You have no idea what you're talking about. You probably drive a Yugo. Take my brother's friends Mach 1 for example. With an eaton swap it's a 10 second quarter mile stang. Plus you can go generations back and always find a car that can beat cars today. My dad's old 1974 Super Duty 455 Trans-Am did 0-60 in 5.9 and was part of the racing circuit. So whats your point? Stop talking out of your ass.

Wow, the TA 455 was from 1974 and had carburators. If it was electronically fuel injected it would have been a 4 second car...We're talking 1974 technology, and that "tea trolly" is worth over $100,000 today. And as for the cars you mentioned, they were specially tuned at the factory. As ofr the VXRs, look them up. They're 10 second cars, and for the one you mentioned (2 litre) has a turbo, is light as balls and also cost more than the GT. So whats your point? GT doesnt have any of that
