the CD with these songs is as fantastic as your Amsterdam recital! I am so sad to read that the composer of this wonderful music has chosen to leave this world. May he rest in peace...I hope to meet up again in Holland and to provide a new composition for violin and guitar; thanks to the Jeroen Hilhorst new guitar building the guitar is not any more covered up by the violin, making new textures possible for composers. Jeroen's guitars and you made history!

Bridge Records just sent me his "Barcelonazo" CD (I do a contemporary classical radio program). I was not familiar with Liderman's work. I am duly impressed but sad to see a man with such beauty inside of him leave us so young. I hope he is at peace.

I didn't know professor Liderman, but I feel enormously sad. So many good people leave us. Why?....

A very sad day today! Jorge Liderman was killed in BART's El Cerrito Plaza Station on Sunday morning in an apparent suicide. a chamber concerto that Liderman wrote for violinist Carla Kihlstedt and the San Francisco Chamber Contemporary Music Players, is scheduled for a world premiere at 8 p.m today 2-04-08 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

Very sad, indeed.
