  • omg, the 2vs3 rhythm was confuzling in orchestra!

  • As a timpanist 3:15 - 3:23 is a pain !

  • If you find this polyrhythm challenging, you have never played anything by Frank Zappa.

  • theres a reason why there are only two dislikes for this piece :)

  • Love the Bassoon solo!!!!!! 1:23 :D

  • I play the muted trumpet entry in my orchestra and it's just amazing to sit back and listen to the rest of the orchestra play such a jolly piece.

  • bravo!!

  • Espana - like a red rag to bullies !

  • were playing this in my orchestra...=/ is so challenging lol

  • @javabird123 no its not

  • @niciijones16 at the 2 against three rhythm it was challenging

  • ...and freaking hard.

  • @tswNickAlreadyTaken its really not

  • Ah how I love this recording. Must have listened to it at least 50 times already, and I think I'm well in for another 50.. ;)

And playing it is just delightful.

  • This one is tough one :P

  • viva ese brio español!!

  • I love it at 4:11 when all the cellos and basses are playing low register...rare !

  • perry como made a corny song out of this called" hot diggity dog ziggity boom" !!

  • ... some crazy emails i sent previously: do these numbers make sense to anyone? "I was listening to Rosanne tlking upstairs but there are a few tweets out there 12 Let’s dance 1231212344" "The clusters / birds were moving about. When there was 5, there was 1 alone, higher up in the tree The rest were lower on the ground. I think 2 were on the ground Then 3 – but this is hazy to me Also two flew off and chased away the raven." i know. its wacky. humourous even?
  • ahh our amateur youth orchestra is no way near this good but the piece is brilliant!!

  • good and execellent work, really feels with touches from spain, this master piece makes me remember the winter of 95 and 96, my last year of elementary school

  • muti dose it again.best interpretation yet.

  • It just occurred to me that if I wanted to be a conductor I'd have to let my hair grow out so I could shake my head around like Muti and make my hair appear disheveled by the finale. LOL

  • 4:15 strings= : )

  • Wonderful!

  • Excellent ! Lors des premières répétitions de son œuvre, Chabrier criait à l'orchestre "Il faut que ça saute ! Il faut que ça saute ! Il faut, non de Dieu... que ça pète !" Je pense qu'il approuverait cette interprétation.

  • Not easy to find a version that is pleasing all the way through, and I must say I'm impressed with this one.

  • That 2 against 3 rhythm in this piece blew my mind when I played it in orchestra. It's been a favorite ever since. And this is totally the best version on youtube. :D :D :D

  • borskyviolin thank you for pointing out the 2 against 3.
