  • how does he do that jump forward?

  • For all the peoples dont learn from these. Search soorya namaskaram. One man with dhoti will be performing. That is the real surya namaskar. In this video, if doing first two steps wrong. Also in the third step if should bring right foot back, not both. It ll hurt the spine.

  • This is not surya namaskar. First two steps are wrong. Also the last two steps. Dont modify ancient tradition with one as u wish. indians have been performing this for thousands of years.

  • this is the best kind of yoga. i feel so great after I practice this.

  • Where is the "namaskara" at the beginning??

  • that is a very good tutorial. something that is shockingly hard to find for something as common as sun salutations. thanks.

  • it is an age old salutation to Sun, usually repeated 12 times during sunrise..... but can be extended.. an indian actress Kareena Kapoor claimed to have achieved a Zero figure by performing this 100 times daily...

  • This guy is missing out a few steps....don't do this check out some other video's where you stretch one of ur leg back and the other one is bent foward with ur knees near your chin.

  • @fixfluff He is doing Suryanaskara A. Maybe you are referring to Suranamaskara B which adds in A warrior pose and a hero pose.

  • Love sun salutations with an Irish brood. Proper way to start the morning.

  • stands like a cowboy ready to duel

  • How often is it recommended that we do this exercise? Once a week? A month?

  • @Mochomo1950 Every day, at sunrise for full benefts

  • @adrianmahabir

    Thanks. I'll start easy.

May the Universe speed all your good to you.

    Alfredo

  • @Mochomo1950 every day

  • Check out these mats....AWESOME!!!

    SELFTRAINERMAT. COM

  • Wow. I'm in such a bad shape, it's hard to do this! I'm as stiff as a plank :D I guess I've got to practise!

  • Watching these videos, and many other like it, and after essentially being reborn through the transcendental power of the Vedas, I can see India becoming the cultural nexus of the earth, again.

    I can't wait.

  • really good demonstration.

    thank you

  • Excelent is perfect for beginners like me!:) Gracias!:)

  • Like the simplicity and and the alignment of your teaching.

  • You make want to learn and do yoga. I really enjoyed your video. Thank you ;-0)

  • Well done, slow and detailed instructions. Great for beginners!

  • beautifully done

  • Is this a good routine if you're just starting out at yoga? How many times should you go through that circuit, and how often? Once per day? Twice per day?

  • @FoodCubes

it is a good routine even if you're just starting yoga.

i do sun salutations every day, just once a day for about 10 mins.

  • jesus that was some good jump forward

  • Search for 'TheYogaSchool' here on youtube. Cool new videos being put up. Thought you guys might like it.

  • you are an eloquent teacher. good job! :>

  • Thank you.

  • Whats the difference between Cobra and upward dog?

  • Cobra - abdomen and hips on floor.

Up Dog - Abs and hips off floor, lift from toes.

  • cobras a snake

  • Thankyou, very helpful, I love the similies :), like a ducks feet !

  • Thank you i think this demonstration helps me a lot!

  • i believe it too.....kalyug aagaya hain heheheh

  • good execution

  • Kya zamaana aa gaya hai... Jo hamne angrezon ko sikhaya hai, woh ab hamein unse seekhna padega...seriously kalyug aa gaya mere bhaiiii

  • Lol!

  • This video is great. I do not appreciate you mentioning that you can use your knees if you lack arm strength. There are so many other parts of the Sun Salutes that are hard for me, but I have arm strength, though I've heard that possibility about one thousand times. Please give other types of hints for people who can't do a correct sun salute, but who have arm strength.

  • get an instructor then ya tight cunt

  • @drosenstark Errr.... perhaps if you stopped ordering people around and started chillin then you might relax that tight arse of yours and manage to do more of the exercises!! And not even a thank you!!! You truly suck!!!

  • @romanaveratrelundar Thank you.

    Namaste.

  • great, Luke Jordan! Blessings!

  • Great video....one of the best instructions you could ever get on the suryanamaskar

  • whats the difference between Sun Salutation A and B?? Do i need to do both or is it just different way of doing it?

and also how many times do i have to do this exercise to make it a complete set?

  • Sun Salutation B Contains Chair pose or Utkatanasana aswell as warrior pose on both your left and right side, then you flow through your vinyasa . Surya Namaskara B is a bit longer then Surya Namaskara A . (:

    Hope i helped !

  • Relly good thanks for uploding

    WooooW

  • This guy is brilliant; very descriptive; easy to follow. Can you tell where I can find more yoga instruction by him please?

  • I looking for a single yoga exercise to clear the brain fog when I wake up in the morning, as mine lasts for several hours. Would this be the best SINGLE yoga exercise to learn? I'm 71 and workout 6 days a week, but with weights, aerobics and stairs as I need lively music to keep me motivated. Thanks for your very clear instructions.

  • very good, I am impressed, thanks

  • Thanks for the vid - I was wrong about the feet together it...

  • Great detailed description, the best I have seen on youtube...but I was always shown to begin in Tadasana with the feet shoulder width. Maybe because they are shoulder width in the other positions you hold in this sequence. Slight difference though, and no doubt an equally valid variation among many. Thanks for the vid.

  • well done ^^

    great vid

  • very clear, wonderful, Namaste!

  • it was splendid, thanks

  • Really well done, Tnanks!

  • perfect
