I don't know why ppl dnt like John Stewart's character. His willpower exceeded the ring's capabilities. He fought off a whole planet of Black Lanterns. (spoiler) He killed Mogo. He was known for making solid constructs. His relationship with Hawkgirl in the show was awesome and how can he not be the best green lantern when he was a construction worker? Constructs were what he did before the ring for a living.

@DarkShadowM99 Actually, Mogo let John kill him. But I really like how he channeled into the black energy without it overtaking him which was awesome. Everything else, I agree with you. What does an architect do? Constructs which is what the ring does. How can a GL with two different skills marine/architect be outmatched? Doesn't make any sense. Out of all of the Earth GL's, John is the most powerful. He's an underrated GL which shows he's just a backup GL for Hal and Kyle. It's disappointing :(

@00ghostcobra - If your talking about Crisis on Two Earths, GL was always meant to be in the background. They'd just done Starcrossed, which was chuck full of GL and Hawkgirl, so he was always supposed to be in the background. Even if they'd kept Stewart, he would have had a similarly small role.
