I feel kind of bad for Bioware, EA expects a return that Bioware just can't deliver and as a subsidiary of EA that is bad news for Bioware's employees, I think the methods they use on their own forums are just an extention of their desperation.

The pandering to lower denominators was supposed to have the opposite effect, obviously Bioware's outdated business model and poor observations of their capabilities as a company had a lot to do with it as well. They brought it on themselves by merging.
