one question: are they like fish and you can't take them out of the water or are they like frogs and u can do it? hope i get an answer cause i wanna know it plz.thx.
how old are they and what do u feed them because i have some but are not eating there blood worms and just eat all the brine shrimp in ten minutes please help me
please reply. i recently bought a new axolotl. i put them in the same tank. they are the same size.i watched for awhile and one of them kept biting the others tail. im not sure if there a boy or a girl their both around 6 inches. i have read that some stores sell tiger salamander larvae under the name of 'axolotl'.ones is black and one is blackish/charcoal grey. i am concerned about this. i have not heard of this before,
i'd need to see pictures. however, it is very common for the male axolotl to regularly bite the female. make sure that there is plenty of room in the tank for both of them to move around. if this persists then i'd recommend that you separate them. if it is a salamander larvae then you'll find out for sure soon enough! also, speak to the shop, ask them to explain it to you.
its not too hard to take care of axolotls. make sure you clean the tank regularly (or have a very good filter). otherwise, they dont need such specialised treatment. frozen worms works a charm.

JohnnyDeppLuvar13 3 years ago
check out axolotl dott org. has loads of useful info :)
kayserben 3 years ago
@JohnnyDeppLuvar13 a lot of experts say axolotls dont like the light and colored lights damage their eyesight.
frankendoodlmcnugget 1 year ago
@JohnnyDeppLuvar13 If you have a UV light, only use it for ten minutes (max) a day- Axies are vulnerable to UV radiation...
