  • Anybody notice the girls?

  • Everyone notices the girls......just no one says anything about 'em, lol.

  • He makes me nippley.

  • Robert, I think you DID mean to turn us on, sweetie. :)

  • Robert Palmer was the coolest singer of all time, bar none. The guy could sing the phonebook and make it sound like he just stepped out of a limo. I will always regret that he was taken from us way too soon.

  • This f'n rocks... I feel sorry for the folks stuck with today's pop. RIP Robert Palmer.

  • I didn't mean to TURN YOU ON!

Yeah, right! You didn't but your gals DID!

    RIP, Mr. Palmer!

  • Robert Palmer = a classic modern rocker!

RIP Mister Robert! Thanks for all the great jams!

  • One of the greatest. Rest in peace. You gave us some of the best music videos.

  • He was so hot and slick. His music had a cool groove, He was also fab in "the Power Station"..RIP

  • I wish I could have seen him perform with Power Station, but I didn't know they toured a second time until i had a computer MANY years later. I am SO glad I got to see him solo before Power Station, though. April 1985 @ the Wiltern.

  • This is classic - the video is so simple but so hot! Rest in Peace

  • I'd forgotten how good this was can anyone upload 'Silly lies'

  • think it is sweet lies. look it up on here u'll find it

  • Thanks man, you were bloody right!!!

  • good night sweet prince..you had soul and class. thank you for the groove...it was magic !

  • looks like "Robert" to me..! Props to the writers or whomever helped get it launched into mainstream.

  • This song (the entire album) was produced by the one and only Bernard Edwards of Chic. As always, Edwards came up with such a cool bass line.

  • why is the pic so gravelly? The sound is ok.. Its a great song from Robert!

  • this isn't from robert it is from, Cherreyell and Alexandra Oneil

  • lest this be a corkboard for anyones useless trivial dis-advantaged knowledge on things that don't matter here & now & will not even remember when we see the fallen heroes of MTV-era...

  • In USA and Europe he was well known as The Gentleman of the pop Rock music in the 80s.

  • When the power balance shifts it's a bitch, ain't it?? LOL.

  • British pop star Robert Palmer passed away from an apparent Heart Attack in 2003...while on holiday in Paris, France in a hotel room with his family.

  • Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, they blow me away.

  • I love this song. It's a classic role reversal.

I, too, wish women would stop coming onto me for meaningless sex.

  • @bosszeroboss

If you're complaining..I'll take your place!

  • the girlsss are h0tttt

  • RIP ROBERT.

  • Gotta admit its a toss up between the original (Chevelle) and this one... both were really good.

  • WOW! I am blown away . Always loved this song from the first time I heard it. Didn't know Robert Palmer had passed away. RIP you are definitely an 80's I-con. Much love for your contributions to the music industry. I danced to this song a many a times when it was a hit back in my hay day. Peace.

  • i remember the first time i heard this song i had a revolation and from that moment milk and chocolate syrup became flavor gravy

  • Hard to believe its 6 yrs. Yet the totally original style and sounds live on. Miss you Robert, you old tyke!

  • i dedicate this song to my daughter cherise oglesby--born march 1; 1987--mommy loves you!

  • If I were the CEO of Viagra Co., I'd pay $20M for this song and video!

Palmer is so cool. RIP, Robert.

  • the mother fucker died??? when?

  • Comment removed

  • 2003 bud..heart attack.

  • Damn....has it been that long? Yep.....Robert Palmer was an original. Will always be loved and appreciated.

  • bless mr. palmer.

  • Everytime I hear this song....I listen to the words and think.....OMG...the dude takes home the Chick.....she wants it really bad.....and he doesn't perform !!! VIAGRA to the rescue !...I bet the Viagra company has tryed to get copy rights to use this in a commercial. That would be awesome !

  • I must admit, Robert Palmer oozed a certain rhythm and blues flair that most people just don't have, while certainly having fun with it. Just as he was getting off, he had to die. Oh, well, very few white people had that kind of soul. I think if he had more time he would have came into his own as a person that could cross over into new modes of music.

  • agreed.. race was never an issue... the music lives on...

  • if rob wagnar was a singer he'd be rob palmer ;)

  • lol totally

  • this song is so sexy i forgot to button my shirt ;)

  • This dude and David Lee ROth had some of the baddest white chicks on TV. They were my heroes in the 80's, lol RIP Rob

  • Who played the bass? Will Lee?

  • he was a sharp dude

  • BAD FUCKIN JAM! RIP ROBERT PALMER

  • Cherrelle has the best version. Robert Palmer's version is cool from a male perspective but is lacking the emoitional tone that Cherrelle has. Robert's has a funky sound but the vocals are not as strong. I do like it though.

  • OMG listen to the BASS, Straight Funk, Great job by the late great Palmer

  • This cover is so smooth and sexy, I love it. =D

  • get the adds out of here! dont "force" me to have to watch that kraaap

  • im a girl and i love both lmao, awesome song and video!

  • Muy sensual. Eternamente agradecido Robert Palmer por tanto placer a los oidos.

  • I want 1985-1989 back! Somebody hurry up and build a time machine! To be a young teen again!

  • Join the Lavalife and meet some hunks-they took me back to being a teenager!!

  • I'm a dude and I love woman only!

  • This is actually a cover of Cherrelle's "I Didn't Mean to Turn you On" also produced by hit-makers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis of Janet Jackson and Prince fame.

  • wow...I didn't know that :) thanks!

  • and don't forget, they also wrote the theme to the NBA Inside Stuff with Ahmad Rashad of the NBA on NBC Fame, Julie Moran of Entertainment Tonight, Willow Bay of CNN and Olympic Gold Swimmer Summer Sanders of Nickelodeon's Figure It Out and they also wrote Say....if you Feel Alright performed by Crystal Waters.

  • We ALL wore suits in the 80s, or at least jackets. This man was a sartorial wonder in a sea of whorish Art Deco-knock-off color.

Who can resist thesubtly masculineized take on a very standard complaint.

  • I didn't realize that there was a Mariah Carey version of this song. That version actually sounds like it was recorded in the 80's.

  • This guy is awesome. Quality songs throughout his career RIP. Loves metal and soul music like me!! a legend

  • you are so right

  • It's so 80s!!!!!!! :)

  • Ooops! Too late, it already happened. RIP, Rob!

  • He turned me on.

  • tou guys are really stupid.

  • to bad he is dead!, great song, he looks so cool with that hair

    and suit!!! tnx for posting.

  • He couldn't keep that filthy spike out of his arm...

  • I always thought it was Michael J Fox in this video.

  • Oh, you mean the famous SINGER Michael J Fox? Yeah, that totally makes sense. Jackass.

  • Really no need to call me a Jackass. Lighten up.

  • Kidding!!!!

  • What?!?! Get out of here! There is absolutely nothing about those men that is alike, outside of they are white. Sheesh!

  • the 80s were amazing so many cool songs!!! robert palmer

so cool!!! great song great video hot chicks!!! tnx 4 posting!

  • Robert Palmer was so f'n hot then!

  • oh hell yes, I was only 10 when this song came out, but I knew these women were hot as hell!!!!!

song brings back memories. Women back in the 80's were more beautiful, feminine and hotter than women today

  • King of Cool RIP Robert Palmer brilliant song/video love those dancers x

  • hell yea, this song and this video are awesome, I mean pure genius......

but dude those girls are hot has hell

  • So right...

  • Ever so slight but love the keyboards in this. Gorgeous keyboard player too, kinda steals the show, she's got rhythm too...

Classic great track. I had this in my favs but it then became unavailable in my country (?).

Glad to see it back and am enjoying it to the full. Bliss.

  • sexy classiness - just awesome

  • why is that chick SO famous?!

  • Did NARS do the make-up for this video?

  • SUBLIMISSIMO!!! I LOVE THIS SONG!

  • god I'm in love with this song!

  • Gorgeous, sexy , smoldering man.......

  • This is absolutely my favorite Robert Palmer song! He was so cool and slick and this song is just sexy from the sound of it to the lyrics. Too bad he died.

  • Oh my gosh, bringing back some good childhood memories. Big tune!

  • he did SO much cool stuff..This one is my fav.

  • He was so cool back in the day! I'm undecided between this and You Are In My System.

  • wow, way before his time. WAY BEFORE HIS TIME! big loss. played his music at my wedding. been married for 11 years. Robert Palmer you rock! we will miss you!

  • temazooooooooooooooo......

  • rip robert thanks for the good tunes

  • Just one word to me sums up Mr Palmer - Stylish ! Never to be forgotten.

  • Its ok you can turn me on anytime! Love this song, Nobody today comes even close. R,I.P gone too soon.

  • gorgeous, talented man surrounded by gorgeous women WHO are not acting like TRASH like in today's videos HUMPIN the air and crap!! I am so sick of how ppl act in videos today it's the same old nasty, vulgar moves!

  • This is getting out of control. But I guess I'll have to face it: I'm addicted to this song.

  • Sorry Baby next time around try not being so hot......

  • これが名高いRobert Palmer Girlsか。

  • All of the women in his videos were HOT!

  • hottest guy ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • observe everyone. this is called "class", as opposed to the gratuitous shameless uncouth shit you see today.

  • He had such a soulful voice. I loved him doing Marvin Gaye too. Classy accompaniment as well. Smooth and sexyyyyyyyyyyyyy.........

  • he looks like ted bundy here

  • a gentleman

  • Robert Palmer turns me on! Wow!!! :-D

  • oh Jeese.....this SUIT still...turns me ON!!!!

  • Brilliant song by a brilliant singer.

    Brilliant dancers

    My all time favorite.

I miss this guy and his music.

  • i forgot how good this was,sorry robert,..R.I. P.

  • this is one of the best videos Ive ever seen . Every time it was on tv Id drop what I was doing just to watch it.

Its just one of those classics you never forget

  • @ 4G64TurboSpyder, Amen brother, he was about as classy a guy as you would find in the music business or any other business. He once said he dressed that way out of respect for his fans.

  • He was married twice.

  • RIP Rob P...classic!!!

  • I think all these women should be put in the water - they were just meant to be SYNCHRONIZED Swimmers!

  • this is good synth funk.i remember this.this cat has serial taste in women.love the lyrics,im on this noise right now.good post.

  • All his videos look the same

Well at least he knew what he liked. ;-) I like dancing girls too.

  • Robert Palmer: Biggest Video Pimp of the 80s ;)

  • Bad-ass classic and classy tune...

A well-tailored suit will never go out of style. Many artists now-a-days could learn a thing or two from Palmer in terms of class.

  • Definately one of his less gimmicky songs and the beat is just plain slick. I know the video with the girl band is his trademark but it seriously just doesn't fit in with this songs mellow sound. It just looks awkward. Regardless this is probably his best song.

  • A really genious!!! RIP Fine Robert!!!

  • The video hot for then and now. Heres a little story. I like the suit so much I had it made. 2000 USD. The chicks well they need to stay in the 80's, but all n all that was the one of the smoothest videos ever. Remember Return of the Mac well this was before the "MAC" left

  • OMG This is still the sexiest video,,He is sooooooooo sexy!!

  • What the hell ass clown? This video has nothing to do with your delusions.

  • youre right

  • awesome video! by the way, the girls may not be out of rhythm, it could be the dummy video editor that can't do his job right ...

  • The girls were famous for being out of rhythm and unable to play instruments - someone originally tried to teach some basics and gave up!

  • uber-cool video after all these years. MTV played this track back in the day when they actually played videos.

  • Color really doesn't have to do with dancing skills... There are a lot of great white dancers. Ann-Margaret has hips and she could dance just fine. White women can be curvy too. I get tired of being told all of this racist bullocks about how white people have no souls or rhythym. Such BULL. Color has jack to do with anything.

  • It's not their whiteness that keeps them from dancing very well -- it's the fact that they're models. Want good dancing? Hire dancers.

The whole point of this video (and "Addicted to love") was to exploit that sort of cold, hard beauty that was a popular look in those days Patrick Nagel, anyone? The album cover to Duran Duran's "Rio?"

Making race an issue when it's got nothing to do with the situation... isn't that called racism?

  • He doesn't sound like any of them, and none of them sound like each other...

  • liar.

  • Well usually people think all songs in a genre sound the same if they don't like that kind of music. Personally I think its rather easy to tell their voices and styles apart.

  • ok.

I have also heard that killer whale experts can tell one whale from another, even though to most of us, they all look exactly alike. One has a small scar on its fin or a slightly smaller spot or whatever.

  • Those women look like yuppie geishas!

  • sexy lyrics

  • I loved this song ever since i was a kid,i love addicted to love too, priceless songs.Robert had the look of someone i knew in life,ha.I wish he was still in the flesh

  • ha ha ha you're right about the women dancers. i never noticed that before. I'd still throat pump them though.

  • Stop bad mouthing my white people,i love the way white chicks dance,it's different, and i love variety. Also they are not out of sync with the song,if you were a professional dance sync teacher you would realize it,now be gone.

  • White people can dance and i'm black,so calm down, hold ya head ha aha

  • yeah, that madonna and justin timberlake can't dance at all...

  • TROP CLASSE :)

    <3

  • Hey! He is being gallant and all.

I love the basslines. Reminds me of Hall and Oates that was used in Sunrise by Simply Red.

  • I love this song. but seriously it sounds like that old porn music lol

  • LMFAO never thought of that one

  • His videoes from that era is FABULIOUS! Love 'em!

  • Most dancers I know can turn me on.Strippers that is! LOL DJ DEB 9/8/09

  • This song turned EVERYONE on-girls, guys,grandmothers-and that was just hearing it on the radio. The video simply made it sexier.A jazz pianist I knew said that some songs settle in your pelvis and feet, which makes you want to dance, get laid, or both.Robert Palmer could turn a straight guy queer, make a nice girl write all her checks, and make a bad girl beg "spank me daddy".Lenny Kravitz's "Lady" has a similar effect.

  • One of the best responses on YouTube....well said, well said.

  • EmeraldCityGuy:

    Thank you very much, Wizard.
