this movie is a true story. the girl that was stabbed was really named Kristen. she lived in Orinda, California. she went to Miramonte High School. i am going to that school now. look it up. its true.

It's funny how they play it up that Angela was the homely girl and Stacy was the knockout. To me, Kellie Martin is MUCH CUTER than Tori Spelling and a more powerful actress, too. She blew me away in this role because I remember her back when she was on that show "Life Goes On".

You know the more I watch this the more I feel like I was kind of like Angie. I didn't want to be popular, but I was alone when I was in high school and a lot of people were mean to me. Im going to college now, but I still remember lol high school never goes away. Anyway I know this is a true story and I understand why the girl killed her, sometimes you just want to, but you have to control your anger and understand that it's only high school and there's a world out of it. Murder is not the way.

Note that the film was called originally in 1994 "A Friend to Die for" [and as I say in Lifetime's posting of it, it was made-for-TV and it was a major TVGUIDE cover story. It showed the actresses actually liking each other, and descibed Kellie Maritn as "cherub cheeked"..Ah....how true!]

I remember this movie from when I was 12.

It's a screwed-up world these days...I mean, you always had popular cliques that dumped on people who weren't as pretty or rich (such as myself), but people didn't shoot up schools over it or do shit like this.

This is one of those made for tv movies that is actually very good. It freaked me out as a teenager and for some reason it's one of my favourite films. Each character in the movie is quite strong and the story develops well. 5*****

the wat I look at it Stacy (Kirsten) brought her death onto her self by being cruel to anyone who was different and the community's love to be the best also caused Angela (Bernadette)to murder her. if they never tried to push people to be the best Stacy(Kirsten) would still be alive. so everyone in the town is guilty Angela (Bernadette) was just the person to take the blame.
