  • Weasels are MUCH smaller than Stoats. . only about double size a mouse.

THIS is a Stoat -and when they get their Winter white fur they are termed Ermine

  • @flamesfromblazer weasels are not that small

  • @adamada101

    Well here in UK-

THAT is a Stoat (Mustela eminea) avg size 180-305mm, long tail with black tip, winter fur changes to white when it is then termed Ermine

Weasel ( aka Least Weasel) (Mustela nivalis) avg size. 130mm-250mm, short tail not black tipped,no winter white coat

House Mouse (Mus musculus) avg size 75 - 105mm

Average sizes include for both genders.

Maybe its a country thing USA to UK ? but whatever , do the maths to see my point

  • @flamesfromblazer Weasels vary in length from 12 to 45 centimetres (5 to 18 in), and usually have a red or brown upper coat and a white belly; some populations of some species moult to a wholly white coat in winter. Species vary from place to place Im here in Newfoundland and our weasels are bigger and have white winter coats. Maybe the smallest species of weasel on planet earth is twice as big as a mouse....whatever

  • @adamada101

    Bored now , cya

  • OMG I WANT ONE NOW!!!!

  • I WANT ONE!!!

  • the short-tailed weasel is the species most commonly referred to as a stoat/ermine...mustela erminea, its in tha scientific name my friend. but here in tha states we jus call em weasels be it tha short-tailed or long-tailed variety. the word stoat is more of a euro thang. tha short tailed, long tailed, and least weasels can all be stoats. like i said before, tha names are more or less a regional thing

  • nah i disagree,a long-tailed weasel is also called a stoat too. and in the winter they are called ermine becus of its winter coat. both ermine and stoat are interchangeble words 4 both the long-tailed and short-tailed weasels. the names are more of a regional thing, ermines and stoats are technically weasels regardless

  • its an ermine :) Its sooo beautiful.

  • ermine is a weasel that has a white winter coat, its jus a fancy word ppl lyk to use. a stoat is tha same thing as a weasel also, once again its just a fancy azz name 4 it. theyre both tha same animal!

  • @ZNINJA89

Ermine is a stoat with a white winter coat, Stoat and Weasel aren't the same.

  • I totally want a pet Ermine they are soo cutteee. How did you get one?

  • ALBINO WEASLE!

  • @L3opardstr1p3s Not albino, this little dude has black eyes and a black tip on his tail. Albino is the absence of pigment in the skin. This guy is just in his white winter coat. :)

  • OMG!!! He melted me down >< ♥

  • they are cute and funny animals, i see you caught it when it had the white-colored winter fur-coat :)

  • such a skiddish little guy =p

he wants the food so badly but he dare not get any closer.

    beautiful animals

  • The stoat (Mustela erminea), also known as the ermine or short-tailed weasel....from wikipedia :P

  • I have an Ermine pelt coming in the mail, bur I still do love them, such beautiful animals.

  • @Jophie12 If you love them, and think they are beautiful animals why would you pay someone to murder one by sticking an electrode up it's anus so it can be skinned for you to own it's coat???? Honestly I have seen some stupidity on Youtube over the years, but this takes the biscuit. What a dizzy fucking bitch!!!

  • @FifiDebord Go cry to PETA. Not that they would care. They kill pets.

  • @Jophie12 Ha, can you say ANYTHING that doesn't make you look like a subhuman retard? It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic. Why don't you try reading a book and stopping the trend for inbreeding in your family?

  • @Jophie12 What a coincidence? I have a "Live" pet Ermine coming in the mail! I hope that it's a preggo female? Can U imagine the FUN that would be had in my house? But then, again, they DO possess a STRONG Musky odour... Maybe I could $ell the Babies???

  • @oxyaena ......so did you get your Ermine?

  • that's not a weasel, is an ermine

  • WHERE DO YOU LIVE? He wears one of the most sought after expensive fur coats in the world. BELIEVE IT, OR NOT, that little animal is a savage, fierce, unrelenting killer of hares, jackrabbits, squirrels, rats, mice, voles and small birds! DON'T LET HIS SIZE AND CUTE BLINKING EYES FOOL YOU!

If you have any pet cats, or Yorkies, BEWARE of ERMINE!

  • That little animal wears the most sought after, expensive fur coat in the world!

  • What a beautiful little animal!!! I love those.

  • wait so is this related to a ferret where are they from its so so cute reminds me of my ferrets i so want it

  • @fuzzbuttsrule I have ferrets too! Love them! I have a few videos on my channel of my furbabies.

And to answer your question, yes, they are related, they're all in the subfamily Mustelinae, under the genus Mustela. And no, I didn't know that off the top of my head, I had to look it up. ;) I won't pretend to have memorized it. hehe

  • Cool

  • awwww ! :]

  • ok im almost positive that an ermine is just a weasel in its winter coat, not a whole different species people, i may be wrong but im almost positive, and whenever i see then they are vicious and nasty little buggers

  • It's like a tube with legs and a pointy tip.

  • @kvn8907 yes yes its a fur snake !!!!!!!

  • Actually I believe this is not a weasel this is something called an Ermine. Which belongs in the wild. I am nearly positive that these little guys are carnivorous or they are omnivores that eat some types of nonmeat products.

  • Weasels and all mustelids belong in the wild and should not be trapped for pets, nor should they be trained to take food from humans.

  • arent ferrets and weasels the same

  • @wazupwierdo

no they are just the same type of animals (called Mustella)

weasels are a lot more cuter :]

  • かわいい!

  • that my friend is an ermine a very close relative of a weasle

  • Comment removed

  • @Veronie Touche

  • @HaloJackassOfficial It's definitely not common knowledge. :] Most people wouldn't even know the difference between an ermine and a an albino domesticated ferret.

  • He is so cute, I love weasels and rodents! I don't know why. Make a few more with him!

  • @RecordingGroup weasles are carnivores not rodents.

  • * Also, throw him in the bathtub full of warm water and a little flea shampoo, about a capsule full. Take him out with your heavy gloves and put him back in his cage with towel to dry off. After an hour switch towels. And u dont want that odour! Call around, even out of state to have a veterinarian to remove the stink glands. Then, voila! Enjoy your new pet!

  • blaird? U are very lucky indeed to have an ermine adopt you. Take him in out of the cold and begin the domestication process. Its not gonna be easy. He is a wild animal. Once he associate you with food, you won the battle. But always handle him with heavy garden gloves. Feed him raw chicken, but gradually start cooking it, and add a few drops of turpentine, to kill worms.*more.

  • lol id catch him and skin him but...hes tame so i just keep him as a pet.

  • Wish I could have a pet weasel!

  • Thats an ermine of short tailed weasel man it's so cute.

  • that is the cutest thing evaaa!!!! <3

  • Awe.....He wants treats. Perhaps some ferret treats would be nice? A mouse?

  • U are right i never heard of a stoat before so looked it up thanks

  • @blairrd hey, is he still alive?

  • @vagoperezoso yes he still lives in my shed.

  • @blairrd is he very small even after becoming adult?

  • thats a stoat not a weasel

  • Nice clip. Glad that you let it go. What are do you live in?
