the only contact the medieval europeans had with blacks was through moors (had contact with west africans) and arabs (contact with east africans), so they referred to them as moors or saracens too.

This is a fantastic scene. I think it's probably one of the more underrated scenes in all-time cinema history, probably due to it's content.

walken is amazing, but in this scene, this particular juxtoposition where Hopper, in the face of a brutal mob boss and the pride that can only come from someone who lives a less-than favorable life...this scene is brilliant. Love the dual.
