This show deserved a second season. Yeah, ok, there was some clumsy shit in the first season, I grant you, but the same could be said for a whole bunch of shows that didn't get axed.

yes it has flaws...but let's make a fanclub and have conventions!...13 hours equals 6 sci-fi movies...this is now a cult classic...pretend its a mini-series...watch it on dvd and write fan fiction stories and novels!...

not enough science fiction or space opera...far far too much soap opera...and stupid bed bunny banter..."who is she sleeping with!"...gossip and girltalk in spaceship...the writers seriously need to be shot for nose-diving this excellent show into the astroturf!...(the alien artefact plot mystery was excellent)

the male astronauts mainly are very well written...but every time they try to repair something or conduct research...some stupid female constantly interupts them flirting or bitching about trivia...its almost as if you expect the boys to start sending the stupid girls to the brig...so they can get peace and quiet and a word in edgewise!

in real life for manned deep space missions nasa will send pre-married stable and sane astronaut couples...(many many female characters on this show act very unprofessional selfish and constantly sexually harass the serious male astronaut concerned about the mission and the spaceship...females dialog poorly written!...becomes mst-tk fodder! jen the science woman holds her little baby rabbit pet...and obsesses over her adultery love triangle!

I got the dvd and am a huge fan of the show...some huge flaws exist!...far too much sex girltalk and far little science...(these excellent actors deserved far better scripts!)...i give it an a- for effort! (superior spaceship sets...spacesuits and special effects rival moonraker 1979)
