  • ahhhhhhhhhh so it's a Gibson ES-125. i always wondered what semi-hollow he played the most.

  • I dont recognize that model of Gibson he's playing. does anyone have a clue as to what it is? it reminds me of an Epiphone Casino between the P-90's and the trapeze tailpiece, but i dont thing that Gibson did a Casino

  • I need a beer.

  • I know you're trying George but you aint coming anywhere close to Bo Diddley's version

  • BO DIDDLEY trubute!

  • oh cara foda... :-)

  • tell me whooooooo doooo youuuu love?

  • who the hell drinks samuels adams? hahaha i mean seriously....people from boston lmfao

  • @killingwithasmile182

    i agree...sam adams is waaaaaaay overrated. :-)

hell my old man makes his own beer, and his is far better than jim's sam adams. ....and 3x as strong to boot. ;-)

  • @bonscott01 cool story bro :)

  • Pass the Joint Maaaaan

  • Just opened a Samuel Adams: Octoberfest.......sat down, and I HAD to hear this song......

  • @WallyPost: re best version: yup. George Thorogood nailed it. Maybe Bo Diddley was just singing at a time when exactly who he was playing couldn't be so clear, maybe he knew the snarly, dangerous edge would cause an uproar (remember, two years later Rumble was banned as an incitement to violence? A pure instrumental? This would have scared them right out of their minds.)

  • I love a man who would rather fight with homos than talk to me. Fuck.

  • Damn. Why can't I be this big a stud?

  • my dad grew up 2 doors down from the bass player in newark

  • George Thorogood really knows how to take a song and make it like 300 times better.

  • The George Thorogood version is much better than Bo Diddley's. I has to be given the nature of rock and roll THEN and NOW. Our rock and roll "ear" is more mature. Bo's is good but, George's is better ... more alive ... more energetic. It is not rubbish. And, it isn't an insult to Bo, otherwise, I don't think he'd have been in the "Bad to the Bone" video when THAT tune first came out. George is giving respect to Bo.

  • @WallyPost dude no offense but your a fool^^ It's Diddley's song so its obviously better in the original version, i like this version to but its not even comparable with the version of the GREAT Bo Diddley, this sounds like a cover nothing more less^^ But comparing this to the GREAT Bo Diddley is like comparing water with Dom Perignon champagne^^

  • @Mynxor

Well, I do take offense to being called a "fool." Mayby YOU are a fool to think the original is "obviously" better. Why is it so "obvious"...? No it's not comparable ... Thorogoods version is just better. Yes, it's a cover with better sound, more guts, more flavor, more bite. Yes, Bo Diddley was great, but, that doesn't mean there isn't something better in terms of another musicians "take" on his tunes.

  • @WallyPost lol your kinda musicdeaf, listen to soul and fire in the Diddley's version , then listen to this karaoke version ^^

  • @Mynxor

Ohhhh ... I am music deaf am I? I've listened to Bo Diddley's original version many times. I do like it. However, in my view, the updated version of George Thorogood is BETTER, okay. Leave it alone now as since you've insulted me in your posts. I'm tired of you. I'm not changing my mind as, I am sure, you aren't changing yours. So go your merry way ... and "walk 47 miles of barb wire."

  • @WallyPost Dont you mean The Doors original version...?

  • @jorer33

The Doors original version of what?

  • Get your rubbish ass out of here if you don't like it

  • A bad copycat raping a great tune by Bo Diddley! Can we throw this rubbish in the dustbin? An insult to Bo!

  • @jt123egypte Now did you even know what that song was before you searched for this one?

  • @richyman416

Yes...this is an insult to Bo Diddley the composer of this great tune. Can we throw this terrible video in the dustbin! Terrible rubbish by a copycat without any talent!

    Keep on rockin' George!!!

  • funny how fast they start, and then slow down...

  • Pretty impressive how he plays without a pick!

  • this is my theme song

  • George can fucking play

  • wooohoo..Im dancing!

  • George Thorogood is Amazing, this song is genuies!

  • This song like many others actually started as a blues song way before George came along I like what he did with it though

  • Depends on what you call a blues song. Bo Diddley wrote this. He was way ahead of his time as a rocker. Rock is just an extention of the blues. I don't think Bo ever thought "Am I going to do a blues song or a rock song?" He just wrote great songs and played them. People like us just give name's of what kind of music it is. It is what it is what ever we call it. Your right though, George covered this song great.

  • Watched Robbie Robertson playing this on the "Last Waltz"---A few years later still can`t nail it!
