That was an illiterate beard. I can assure you that you'd look better with a well shaped beard and with thin Moustache. I mean long beards should be trimmed from the edges, especially from the side. Not just letting it grow everywhere

I think that you should had keep your mustache as it was so thick and full. But beards and short hair really do not go well together. All you really needed was a good beard trim and allow your hair to grow a little but more.

I tried growing a beard like that, It was really itchy but after a while I got used to it. It made me look older and it was quite a bit of upkeep. I personally prefer shaving.

What did you find so great about living with a beard? and if you liked it so much, why did you shave it off?

The itchiness only lasts for about 2 weeks, then it's bliss.

As for why beards are great? Here is one reason, but there are many others - When people look at you they see a bearded face but when you look at them you do not see your beard. It changes the way the world sees you so it allows you to interact with a part of society that you could never have interacted without a beard.

Another one is that it feels great, especially when you comb it, and stroke it :)
