Mine did the same thing lol. Started it up after I rebuilt it and it pushed my leg back up.Didn't think to much of it so I put it in gear and popped the clutch expecting to pull a wheelie out of the shop but ended up flying backwards into the tractor that was 5 ft behind me lol. MEGA FAIL!!!

I have gotten it to go fwd some time ago. The reason is because the flywheel needed to be moved 90deg counter clockwise, had to drill new hoses in the flywheel. Is was smoking like that because the piston was running in reverse, so it was pulling engine oil out of the crank, hense mosquito fogger. Glad everyone has enjoyed this video. Happy riding.

@MrBlaster78 Theres no oil in your crank! so there isnt anyway you could be pulling oil from there. If you were getting oil in your crank you have more issues then your timing being off. Your crank is lucubrated in the same way your piston is....from the oil in your gas. The oil you put in your case is for the clutch and trans.
