It DOES overlook a free nation and the veterans DID give it to us...but the Atheist veterans gave it to us as much as the christian ones....how dare you exclude them!!!!

A Christian war memorial honors our history. 'Honors our forefathers who really needed GOD esp. during time of war. It's comforting to veterans to be able to have faith that can lean on a holy GOD. Someday, war will be no more. And it won't be because there was no faith in perfect goodness. Jesus represents purity and love. Who can find fault in Him or His story? Read about Him!

The constitution gives Montana's freedom of religion not freedom from religion. This is a war memorial not a church memorial.

@SuperMzjames Wisconsin has nothing to do with this...the complaint came from someone in Montana, who has asked the National organization based in Wisconsin to represent them. The constitution is for every american and therefore is everyone's business when it is being violated.

Rehberg is a huge liar. The Knights of Columbus have always called this a Catholic shrine, and not a memorial. The KofC flip-flopped on this and are now saying it is a memorial. Rehberg should get his facts straight.

It's a dishonorabe thing to dishonor God and the vets that fought for our freedom for God. They aligned their hearts with His. Be grateful, not disrepectful. Don't be unconscionable but develop a conscience before God and our country and for the veterans who fought for your freedoms. Educate yourselves on true American Heritage. Learn the pledge to the flag. It's imperitive for your children and your children's children and for your's and mine as well. God Bless America!

Nothing dishonorable about it if you do not believe in God. A war memorial should be an honor to veterans, not just Christian veterans. It dishonors me to have YOUR belief in 'god' imposed on my government property

What problem do people have with Jesus in the first place? His whole emphasis and message is about peace, healing and wholeness. He is all for the holistic scene and the source of it as well. He is the One who is our completeness; the perfect Lanb of God as well as the Lion of Judah. He is gentle, tender and kind and hates evil. One day His just rule will govern the earth with peace. Ane that Kingdon will never end. Ahhh, true peace at last. So, let's want to keep Jesus around.

Renew the lease, it is the right thing to do. Do not buckle to the whims of that nutty group. We the people have rights too. We want the statue to stay. We have had enough of the majority loosing to the loud, crude minority. It is time to put the country back on the path that made it great.
