The hardest rocking soul ever written. Otis is on fire, the horns are killing it and Elbert Woodson is cracking that snare like it's about to break in half. Un-be-liev-able. If you can't get up off your butt and dance to this, you're probably in a coffin already.
Nobody had more on stage energy than the late great otis redding, mick jagger once said the otis version of satisfaction put the stones to shame...Hes gone but his memory will always linger on...the personification of true Memphis soul!!!!
I bought this album when it was first released,I am old school and was an fan of Otis in 1966 when I bought the single Can't turn you loose. I was just acknowledging this great post. And I still have that same album so I do not have to down load any Otis Redding music ,as a matter I have every album he release before and after death.
Atlantic released a "Live at the Whiskey A Go - Go" on 8-Track Tape in the '60s and my mom had it. I would play this song over and over lol
