You people are claiming you are righteous and that others are sinners just like the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector. I believe God desires that all you cult members come out of self righteous hypocrisy and admit you are just like everyone else and that you need Jesus and his love and forgiveness every day. Quit telling people you have changed when you have not. If you have changed, there will be love in your heart for other sinners who are struggling with the same sins you commit.
Acts 2:38 "Repent and be Baptized"! Baptism takes a couple of minutes, Repentance takes a lifetime. Paul Washer is one of the few modern day preachers with the guts to tell the truth. God Bless him! He may save many people who "think" they are saved from a horrible eternity...
If that power is in a god given authoritative state over you, it is not your place to judge, but to submit in humility and have faith that the Lord is in control over your wee life.
Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
A Man will come of a seed of a women (virgin) who will crush Satan's head and his heal will be bruised in the process.
@pungadoo It is referring to the crucifixion of Christ on the cross, just the heel, not the head, since Christ conquered death and rose again to be at the right hand side of the Father in heaven, restored back to glory, thus defeating Satan.
Whatever is foremost in a man's mind is what he will be enslaved to. If one's sin is foremost in one's mind, then we are a slave to sin and guilt has mastered us. Rather, we are to fix our eyes on Jesus and in doing so, we become conscious of forgiveness of sin and that Jesus is Lord and greater than sin and death. We lose our fears and remember Jesus took our sins, He did it and not we. No sin is too big for Jesus to wash away by His blood. I say - Worship God and Him only!
Headachehealer: You don`t seem to realize that you are enslaved to the idea of "sin and forgiveness". So why is your enslavement better than any other ? Enslavement is unhuman, no matter which form it takes.
People should investigate whether this is preaching a true gospel. Read the book of Acts and see holy annointed preaching. Take note of the apostle's preaching and compare it. You will never see any messages like the ones being posted here.
I already have. People should investigate whether this is preaching a true gospel. Read the book of Acts and see holy annointed preaching. Take note of the apostle's preaching and compare it. You will never see any messages like the ones being posted here.
Please point it out rather than just spamming each of my videos with the same paragraph, if not then I will remove them and block you. You have the opportunity to point them out with clarity and scriptural support, please do.
I don't understand at all what you mean. The apostles in the book of Acts preached sin to the people. Peter told the people on pentecost that they killed the Son of God. That they would be lost without grace. He didn't tell them to just pray a prayer. But he said that they should throw their life on Jesus Christ and change their life.
He also talked about times of refreshing to come on them.. There was also great laughter and joy- people thought they were drunk. The Spirit of God fell on them all and the apostles declared Jesus is Risen and that they were experiencing the prophecy in Joel about God pouring out His Spirit on all flesh.
Another thing too about those scriptures. The Spirit of Jesus had come already. Tongues of fire were upon the heads of the people, God had filled the room. Before they spoke, Jesus was real everywhere around them. Greek word for repentance is μετάνοια . It means "change of mind".. when Jesus comes, we can change our minds and realize we might be wrong about who He is. If the love of Jesus is not present, our words are but empty shells.
Yes repentance is changing your mind, but changing your in the sense that you are repulsed and abhor the sin in your past and in your life. Thusly you will turn away from that sin, not pretend like its not there because you did an alter call, or prayed the sinners prayer. Did you know the greek word for disbelief (apeitheo) is the same word for disobedience? Those who do not obey the son the wrath of God is upon them (John 3:38).
In my mind,I see lepers running to Jesus. You know those lepers were always troubled by their leprosy and always looking at their skin disease. When they saw Jesus had come, they forgot their problems and they ran to Him with great hope. I am 100% sure that they fixed their eyes on Jesus and just wanted to touch Him and were not conscious of their disease but conscious of the great Healer.
They had already spent all their lives in condemnation worrying about their leprosy ;)
True enough, but in Matt 11:20-24 Christ reproach the cities which He did miracles in but did not repent even going so far as to say that their judgments would be worse than Sodom's because they were shown many mighty works of God and still choose to live sinfully.
Yes my friend but in those cases Jesus was there without a doubt and doing miracles right in front of people's eyes and these were real miracles and not some hyped up drama. His presence and power were there. He had already given all the proof they needed.
Also look at Paul in Romans 7 and the letters to timothy. Paul is clearly aware of his own fallen nature even as he is a mature Christian even crying out 'o wretched man that I am'.
Also in Rev 3:19 Christ says He convicts and chastens those whom He loves so be burning with zeal and repent.
The love of Christ for us is truly revealed when we are made aware of our own depravity and how through Gods love we are spared from His wrath and holy hatred.
Holy hatred? Holy hatred against humans? When I look at the cross and see that man naked and completely diseased and disfugured because of our sin.. do we see hatred? Or does God love us. God loves the world.. He proved it already.. We just need to know the good news and receive Him. We rejoice because our names are written in the book of life. We do not fear hell, we fear HIM..
Yes Holy hatred, with modern evangelicalism the way it is, this is hard to believe, but there are several scripture that say exactly this. Psalm 5:5 says God hates ALL the workers of iniquity. God hated Esau Rom 9:13. Here are some others to check out Lev 26:30, Psalm 10:3, Psalm 11:5-7, Hosea 9:15, just to name a few. I do not wish to undermine the love of God as He does love all TRUE believers. This makes a little more sense once you understand predestination/election, the two go hand in hand.
Heres a verse I just came across today. 1 cor 14:24-25
But if all prophesy [giving inspired testimony and interpreting the divine will and purpose] and an unbeliever or untaught outsider comes in, he is told of his sin and reproved and convicted and convinced by all, and his defects and needs are examined and he is called to account by all,The secrets of his heart are laid bare; and so, falling on [his] face, he will worship God, declaring that God is among you in very truth.
Here Paul clearly states that what true Gospel preachers have known for centuries, that you convict and show a man his depravity and wretchedness before God. You do not spare his self-esteem at all. Assuming God has chosen to save that person (and rest assured it is Gods choice whom He saves), the person will see how desperately he needs Christ. Not simply telling them God loves everyone, no need to repent, just pray a prayer and your saved (and that does surmise most calls to salvation).
Well, for me.. the God I know makes me conscious of the fact He is the forgiver of sins.. If our eyes are fixed on our sin and not the Forgiver Himself, then we are under the law because we are trying to change by ourselves rather than come to Jesus as we are.. as we are, in our sin. Jesus take me as I am.. I can come no other way.. Jesus never turns sinners coming to Him just as they are.
Well brother I must say if the God you know is not the God of Scripture, it is an idol. Did not the children of Israel call the golden calf the Lord that delivered them out of Egypt?
Nowhere does the Scripture teach we come to Jesus just as we are and yes Jesus does turn away sinners who come to Him as they are. In Matthew 7 Christ says "many will say to me on that day, Lord Lord...." and Christ will publicly deny them because they disobeyed the law. In Matt 5:48 Christ commands perfection from us. James 2:14-17 tells us that without obedience to the law a persons faith is dead and unable to save his soul. Narrow is the gate AND the way and few are those who find it.
In Luke 17 it is written "When Jesus saw the 10 lepers, he said, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well."
Sure ,I have made a video on my channel called "Repentance, what it is really is! I have stated my own testimony and the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. God's grace be upon you!
I think christians should investigate themselves. One thing is what is in the bible in the book of Acts. We should read the messages given by the apostles about Jesus. Secondly, most people have common sense feelings..its easy to tell when something simply is not right. It does not bring peace.
If we don't accept a message and are told we are godless because of it, then we are being bullied. God does not like bullies. He is kind and humble in heart. God is Jesus.
I think P. Washer is trying to point out SIN and lack of true REPENTANCE in people who already profess Christ. In your other post ?? Are you suggesting that at that final moment when Yeshua returns people will be able to say....OPPPs I screwed up? AND they will make it into the kingdom of God? IF so...PLEASE Show me in the Word....
Repentance is a gift of God. It is when we see that we have been wrong about God. It is when we see Jesus is "for us" and not against us. We turn from looking at our sinfulness and look to Jesus, the Forgiver of sins. The sin is that we have not looked to Jesus and experienced Him. If we are looking at Jesus, our guilt will drop off our backs and we will be empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve God and our heart and mind cleansed by His blood.
if its done with love its ok to but to preach hard loud & clear is good cuz i would rather have shouting at the pulpit then facing God & knowing I'm going to hell.. id rather have Jesus say i preached to hard then say didn't preach strong hard or deep enough & cuz of it i myself didn't even make it to the promise land as looks at me & says depart from me i knew you not ye worker of iniquity's all this because i truly believed the light message i preached myself :)
Great image and message. You are a great blessing to my life for putting this where I can hear it. It makes God wonderfully more real to me. Thank you.
