I looked in this level and you can get Minigames in the GBA version.

Hold SELECT and press L L B A R.

You can do Popping (10/20 stars), Coins (Full Eggs), Seed Spit and Throw (4, 5 or 6).

Not multiplayer in the minigames. And about the Seed Spit:

You get the Melon that U used to killed the bandit, so the Green Melon or the Fire Melon.

I think there is no Ice Melon in that minigame.

And about that: GBA = Game Boy Advance

On the SNES it's the Super Mario World series. And

On the GBA it's the Super Mario Advance series.

GBA: Super Mario Advance 1 - SNES: Super Mario Bros. 2 = (Super Mario Bros. 2)

GBA: Super Mario Advance 2 - SNES: Super Mario World 1 = (Super Mario World)

GBA: Super Mario Advance 3 - SNES: Super Mario World 2 = (Yoshi's Island)

And on the GBA you can choose: The Main Game or a Minigame: Super Mario Bros.
