 No, its not a model thats meant for tone, when a guitar is distorted and played at shredding speeds, tone is almost irrelevant. What matters there is fingerwork and distortion.

A heavier instrument (i.e. les paul) has more sustain and a greater tone because it has more wood... Even though the S body is made from mahogany it still cant compensate. :(
