I saw these guys on the 21st of May this year and they closed their set with this one and they used the same pyrotechnic configuration during the song. My head nearly went through the roof of the Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England. Even so, it ranks as one of the best shows I've ever seen.

How Rush have not grown old gracefully is beyond me, (like pretty much everything they have done is beyond me). For a band to consist of so much talent, be successful doing totally their own style of music, have lyrical integrity, and STILL be so on top of their game after over thirty years is something I doubt will ever re-occur.

Geddy's voice still makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. So much passion.

How anyone can deny Rush as one of the greatest acts in rock is also beyond me.

As a drummer myself, I have to say that Neil Pert is one of the best technical drummers alive. He routinely does things with drumstick & drumhead that other well-known drummers don't even know how to do.

If you've ever sat down at a drum set and tried to do what Neil does, then you know what I mean. If not, then you cannot know of which I speak.

Go listen to "Where's My Thing" (track 5 on the Roll The Bones CD) if you really want to listen to Neil showing what he can do.
