I love my 900 Hornet as well, and talk about a gas sipper. I did a ride packed full of luggage, and on one stretch it gave me 1.3 gallons for a 107 miles. With most of that on an average speed of 65 MPH.
Got the front off the ground woooooooo hoooo basically just gaver to 6000rpm then let off and then throteled back on and it came up about a foot for a few seconds havent clutched yet gonna wait till im more comfortable!!! but thanks for the tips they were a great help!
Great to hear! Be careful, and wear as much gear as you can afford. I took my R1 down a couple months ago stunting in a parking lot, and wasn't wearing a jacket. Tore up my arm pretty bad. Best of luck, and keep practicing. Stabtakulor: They are Joe Rocket Sonic pants. Highly recommended as they are an excellent pant at a good price point. If you are dragging knee, get Klucky Puck brand sliders. Far and away the best sliders around.
Scoot back on your seat a little. Try to position your self in the middle of the seat. In other words, not all the way forward touching the tank, but not all the way back either. This helps you maintain a neutral position that you can adjust to help control the wheelie. Try some small first gear wheelies by popping the clutch at a low rpm. Just try to get the front wheel off the ground, and go further each time until it feels comfortable and natural. Take it slow, crashes are no fun at all!
I've never been able to do a sit-down wheelie starting from second gear. You could shift to second gear while riding a wheelie from first, as long as you are near red-line in first. You might also be able to clutch-up a wheelie in second if you are standing up, and put your left foot on the passenger peg for leverage. Might be fun. Good luck!
Thank you. I really wish I had a better camera, mine is like 7 years old and it's just not good for action shots. I'll be making some more video's soon, hopefully with a chase-cam through some local twisties.
Easiest bike to wheelie I have ever ridden. The more upright body position takes some weight off the front wheel when compared to a super sport bike. It also makes great mid-range power so you don't need a ton of RPM to pop it up.
your poor forks :(

Don't think I would be trying to knee down without a steering dampener, but that's just mee.

Not to be rude but I would imagine my statement of a "sterring dampener" would have been pretty clear.

I like the way you put that together, one of the best 919 videos yet.
