hi all im just starting out and would like to buy a telescope, as a beginner what would you guys reccommend, i would really appreciate your advice thanks
Thanks for getting back to me so soon. I am just getting into this kind of stuff. Always had an interest but with the Google X Prize I was just wondering if you could get closer to see the landers in a few years. Nice video. Thanks again, atlasdaddy.
Jupiter is almost due-south one hour after sunset these days (July 2007). Just above the star Antares in Scorpio. For more info. Do a web search for sky charts.
It's so peaceful there because there is no USA on the moon to invade other countries.

A fourth the volume of Earth. That's why it's so quiet there.

Is that as close as you can get or are you just giving us the wide angle view?
atlasdaddy 4 years ago
Somewhere in-between. I could go higher power, but I wouldn't really call this "wide angle". It was shot at about 150x.
