Its not the tuning its the way its being played. The game makes sure your in tune before the song.

I kinda hate how the game doesn't just show you the power chords when your learning the song.  It shows where your fingers need to be on the frets for the correct way which its doesn't show the whole thing but your not looking there your looking at the notes coming at you full speed. over all i like the game. its just crazy sometimes its like you have to master the darn song in order to see all the notes you need to play. Not to mention the better and further you get intothe game it crashes

I am sorry but this is painful. Not painful in that your bad you are in doing well for a beginner. The way this game is teaching the guitar however is completely wrong. There is no trace of rhythm in playing it this way just a clunky melody. You play rhythm before you play lead. Besides that little rant I wish you luck in learning the guitar.

@Dustin2010james No it is not a matter of learning one way or the other. It is a matter of this game completely ditching rhythm in favor of clunky melody. There is no fluidity in the song without the rhythm. That is all I am saying I do not care if he continues on this track of learning its his choice. I'm so glad I didn't get this game. Playing guitar by ear is way more easy then trying to learn everything visually. I just feel bad for the ppl that bought this game an thought that it'd make them good at guitar. Cause every video I've seen of this game. It sounds all the same. Like shit. Its called ambition, if u want to learn something extremely hard. Don't expect to get professional from a video game.

@blingbling0080 I don't think this game ever claimed to make you a guitar superstar. It's made for beginners who have always wanted to try out the guitar and didn't know where to start. And of course all videos sound like shit but it's because everyone is a newbie playing the game right now. And believe it or not, this game does help you in learning the basics of guitar.

IMO, I think that this game could be a good tool but you need to get the basics ie, cords and their structure first. If you understand them you will see that the intro of this song is a D shape and you don't need to be moving all around. Just a tip if you are starting out. Use this but it is not the end all be all. If you start looking a music theory you will get more out of this game.

Lag depends on your setup.

using just an HDMI Cable for the audio and video gives you the most lag if i remember correctly. There is a guide that comes with the game that tells you the best set up to reduce lag.

Also you could use the calibration setup in-game to help reduce lag

@Sutaami I've ben playing guitar for about 4 years and I own Rocksmith and I enjoy it alot. It's probably not going to teach much in technical skills (though, i dont know how good you are.) but it fun to jam out with the amps and learn the songs. The Technical challenges and arcade games are also fun. I'd say it was 70 dollars well spent.

@BravoGangUS08 Throughout all the verses. It's just picking notes out of the 3 chords on which the song is built: D, then Cadd9, then G. You can move across those 3 chord shapes and be able to pick all the notes from the position of your fingers. If you look at tabs or have someone show you then it will make perfect sense.

@BravoGangUS08 The first riff. instead of putting down each finger individually, hold a Dsus4 chord (2nd fret 3rd string from the bottom (the orange one) with your index, 3rd fret green string with your ring finger, and the purple string hold the 3rd fret with your pinky, second fret with your middle finger. Whenever you need the second fret just lift your pinky up, when you need the 3rd fret put pinky down. Then you'll just have to concentrate on the picking
